    Being loud or too opinionated is perceived as being childish in a lot of cultures so it’s not surprising that people get irritated by it. Advice should be taken on merit and not based off who gives it.

    • @FloriiaLiving

      Is that for both men and women?

      @@FloriiaLiving I think so. Men who are “loud” about nonsense like masculinity and alpha mindset like Andrew Tate or Jordan Peterson etc come across the same childish way to most women (and confident men) as radicalized feminists do to men (and confident women).

    • @FloriiaLiving
      @FloriiaLiving 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agreed. But that’s not the type of feminine mindset or dialogue I’m addressing. It’s when white men try to minimize or tell a woman she should not have an opinion or be a leader at all. The belief we should be quiet and submissive. Not alpha female or alpha male dominating one or the other. Just mutual respect for both

      @@FloriiaLiving I work in Asia, and I’ve noticed far more misogyny coming from Asian men than from white men when I was working in Europe. Men in the west know that if they don’t listen to women then they are consequences. In the past I had a conflict in the past with a white female colleague who had a genuinely reckless and stupid idea (she just didn’t think it through) and instead of doing a conflict resolution she called me a cis male and complained that me being in that group made her uncomfortable. It’s just counter productive.

      @@pb6839 I’m so glad you are sharing this. Each culture has a different level of this problem. It’s so unfortunate when a woman has swung too hard to misandry and perpetuates the disrespect between the two genders. My personal experience has been repeatedly with white older men trying to talk down to me or shame me. My hope is that mutual respect can be found for both healthy masculine and healthy feminine and find the positives in both

      @@FloriiaLivingLiterally, Feminism means a practice, system or doctrine that is used to promote women's issues. It wasn't until the end of the 20th century that the concept of gender equality was added to the dictionary of feminism. And if you look at the worldview that the so-called third wave feminists offer so you can see that there is a clear bias in it. And that is sexism, pure and by definition. This also seems to have been noticed by many supporters of second wave feminism. So I'm not the only one.

      Or…am I asking a question about the line between feminism and misandry? Sometimes we forget to respect the men with healthy masculinity when we have been wronged by misogyny. So we react with “all men are stupid” “we don’t need men” and call it feminist.

      There is a masculinity crisis right now. Women have felt like we need to be able to do it all, and in some cases we do for a time. In the process a lot of men are beginning to feel emasculated, because as women we feel contempt for those who won’t or don’t show up in a healthy respectful way, then men feel resentment towards women. It’s a pretty big issue when we look more deeply at the cycle.

    Yes* *Allow me to explain. The thing is that Feminism is meant to be equalising Men and Women. I’m sure we can agree on this. However, unfortunately, some ‘feminists’ (note the brackets, I’ll explain later.) interpret this as allowing misandry, which is the misguided/disproportionate hatred toward males, as Misogyny is to women. Such people aim to have men at a lower pedestal than women, not as equals (that’s my reasoning to put quotation marks around feminists earlier.) In conclusion, Feminists are not sexist, and want to have both genders at the same level, however, ‘feminists’, tend to want to put women ABOVE men. Also, my initial reaction to the first caption was “Wouldn’t that just be the same, but with women instead?”

    If you have a true understanding of what feminism is, then you know the answer to this question is no. What you might be referring to is called misandry and is sometimes mislabeled as feminism. Feminism began as an opposition to the oppression of women by society and has morphed into a fight for equality to all. You might also be referencing feminism’s fight against toxic masculinity, something people often get confused about. Some people think it suggests that masculinity is toxic but really it’s about toxicity being mislabeled as masculine. For instance, it’s fine to say that strength and bravery are masculine traits but if you used that to justify violence then you’re attaching toxicity to masculinity.

    • @epockismet76
      @epockismet76 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I used to be a femenist, then discovered it stopped being about equality before I was even born. Real femenists sleep walk though existence like all activists, and don't pay attention to what everyone is actually doing to each other. Trump is the best example of someone who's been lied about so much the "toxic" femenists show like a sore thumb, but the regular femenists seem unable to notice... or real femenists are silent and invisable, and have also been that way for a very long time.

    • @FloriiaLiving

    • @thaneknight
      @thaneknight 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Feminism is and has always been political advocacy for women. It is not concerned with issues that primarily impact men and in many cases actively fights against attempts to equalize discrepancies; in areas such as family law i.e. men's access to their children.It cares nothing about male suicide rates, homelessness and performance in school except to blame men. So of course it can be sexist.There are no rights that men have that women don't.

      I am genuinely looking at the ways we as women (myself included) in the hardships we face to rise up, can at times, write off men out of frustration with bad behavior or misunderstandings of masculine energy. Especially when we come across any man who hasn’t had healthy masculinity modeled for him. It’s something I’m exploring and acknowledging as I read “Eve” (The book in the clip)

    • @FloriiaLiving
      @FloriiaLiving 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is a moment of introspection for me. It seems to be entirely dependent on each person and the experiences we have had, how we have had healthy feminism modeled, or not, for us. I’ve been around the “men suck”, “they are a bunch of man babies” camp and then the idolization of men, as in they can do no wrong, in a patriarchal religion. This is the first time I’ve looked at how far my own feminism can swing to contempt when I feel wronged and blame it on “all men” in general.

      Read - Women Who Run With The Wolves. Both are powerful. Being empowered in your feminine energy…not just being “pretty” or wearing nice clothes we have a power that has been lost for centuries. Inner wisdom or intuition vs logic, the understanding of the cycles of life, etc. This allows us as women to begin our power that isn’t in opposition to the masculine energy. Instead it allows us to enjoy the healthy masculine energy in both ourselves and men. There is a masculinity crisis right now where many men feel lost and don’t have a model for healthy masculine so we created feminism to counter that and push back on shadow masculine traits that have been oppressive.
