I appreciate this tier list as a percussionist and beginner on cello! By the way just letting you know the xylophone picture was actually the Vibraphone (less octaves than a marimba, metal bars like a glockenspiel, and it has a pedal on the bottom to lengthen notes, as well as a motor for a vibrato effect). Four mallet technique is very difficult, and it took me several years before I even attempted 4 mallet percussion, and it requires a lot of accuracy and manipulation, and it is difficult to play every note accurately when trying to maneuver the mallets. The only change for the list in my own personal opinion is to swap the triangle with the bass drum, the triangle is actually a lot more difficult than it looks. You need to strike the triangle at the right spot for each note so that it doesn’t change the sound of the instrument, and you play trills and tremolo rolls on it, and it requires more note accuracy compared to the bass drum. Triangle is much more difficult than it sounds or looks, while bass drum you don’t have to worry as much on where you strike, similar to what you were saying about the double bass and violin, there is less room for error on the triangle or violin.
