Watching Spidey Hits open his box and seeing those hits makes me cry cause my 1 box was 💩 in comparison.

that canvas gallery achievement looks amazing and i wish i had the chance to get one but honestly way to easy of an achievement and dissappeared way to fast. Way to easy for many of the big spenders.

I collect mostly sets. Ill buy 5-6 boxes.. then buy singles. The price of MM 2022 makes collecting these out of reach. What am i suposed to do.. buy 4 packs and end up with 12 random cards that dont fit anywhere in my collection? Better to just buy the singles you want.

So glad I got my Poster with Magneto on it. (Disappointed that we don't get a physical Magneto or Carnage...)

With the way the market is nothing is worth anything if it is not less than 50. I don't see spending 50 or more a pack for 3 dollars in cards if you don't hit anything at all. The only thing that excites me is 6-7 weeks after the sales on Comc will be great,

Also a note that wasn’t touched on. Secret lair is the branding they use now for promos at conventions so these might possibly be given out at NYCC when they do the first preview of the set on October 18 and won’t be for sale. The thing that gives me hope that they will be for sale was they were taken from from one of the SLD distribution facilities in TN and one of the other pictures the guy who posted them on FB marketplace had a SLD that was just recently announced. Another thing that was slightly touched on was the artwork. So some of the UB sets (universes beyond) had real paintings but because wizards doesn’t own the IP the artists were not allowed to sell them. Also Dan Dos Santos has done magic art in the past as well so fingers crossed we get some of his amazing art.

Secret Lair recently stopped doing open order window print to demand for most of the big drops. Some of the drops have been competitive and sold out quickly (Monty Python, the better D&D drops). Unless this one ends up print to demand, be prepared for a queue and have your account set up ahead of time. btw there's a Peach Momoko drop in the upcoming September 30th superdrop (not Marvel related).

scryfall is the best database for magic cards its amazing, you see all the card sets, all the artists and different card arts

I hope there are a few different Versions of each Character. Not foil or non foil, but more so different art, not just one

IMO Topps being Fanatics flagship brand when it comes to cards is kinda trash. Topps isn't really exciting when it comes to their brands and like somebody in the comments mentioned Fanatics wants you to keep all things in house with them. I feel like Fanatics needs to buy Upper Deck and/or Panini cause they are already in Monopoly territory. I get a lot of folks want to be positive but I just don't see the light at the end of the tunnel cause prices are already high for not so much return.........they are only going up now. Also if this is gonna be ~70% MCU sets going forward, I"M OUT!

As a sports guy who also collects Marvel - just want to clarify that case hits do NOT have to be #'d to be desired. Case hit parallels (i.e. Galatics or Genesis or Nebulas) are huge hits. Inserts like Color Blasts, Downtowns, Blank Slates, KaBooms are all huge hits. That being said - seeing what Topps has done to Star Wars - not sure things bode well for Marvel/Topps. The way Topps/Fanatics approaches collecting is in such stark contrast to the OG Marvel Card collectors. They want to push everything toward that Fanatics to Breaker to PSA pipeline - they want prospecting, pumping, and flipping. Topps has always been about the rookie card and they do well in baseball because of prospecting nature of baseball cards. Not sure how that will translate to Marvel - its a completely different beast with character collectors. Topps will have to dig deep into their bag of historic sets to try and make Marvel work. They can't just rely on flagship, chrome, bowman chrome, finest and Masterworks because that will get old FAST - especially since Topps is not creative with inserts. Not sure the market will support the ultra high end sets like Transcendence. But something like Topps Reserve or Topps Gallery could be interesting with box topper sketches or comic cuts or whatever. For MCU - Topps will probably be able to get bigger name signers than UD - so that will be good for MCU collectors. But from the comic side - I'm worried - don't have much hope they do it properly.

I can tell you now that topps chrome is stocked in all the toy stores here in Australia: it will definitely grow the hobby for sure. 😊

Personally, I believe that I will continue to bulk up on sealed 90's product as usual 😊

Most excellent stream guys! I was on a lift installing siding so I missed this but watched afterwards. I have many questions though. Will this change in license create FOMO with previous UD product? Will the Vintage product see increased buyouts? How will the current sketch card market fair with the consideration that Topps will possibly not make them or not make them as easily obtainable? Will the grading market explode in demand for the UD product thus increasing registry and drive current market prices down? Sorry Fausto, I have an incredibly large amount of questions because I have been collecting Marvel product since 91' 😊

This is a huge miss imo. My real question is.... Do you think Upper Deck cards will go up in value after the takeover? I feel like storing away boxes could be a smart move. Eg modern Masterpieces, Platinum, Flair. Or some of the cheaper sets. Eg AVX, New Beginnings, What If

Quality looks meh. Most of those cards too off center one direction or the other. Should be a tough set to grade.

It was pure insanity auctionining off single characters for a single box. I was also kinda surprised to see the Gambit and Rogue pulled straight from the 92 Jim Lee set. Hard pass on ripping considering these box prices. Will look at singles down the line.
