How lovely! This brings back such wonderful memories. I still have my Barbies as well as her clothing, purchased as well as handmade by my mother, grandmother and myself! My mother had a friend who worked at the little hardware store in Fair Oaks, California and she set one of the first Barbies aside for my mom. Apparently, the only way to get one was to know someone. Love the story and my mother for making it possible! This lady would be almost the same age as my mother. Oh how I miss her. She is a great story teller! Thank you so much for sharing your dolls and memories! 🤗
