Absolutely stunning group with tight infectious songs who shouldve gone on.... love the album own all 12" singles & miss tyhem hugely

Saw them at the 100 club when I was able to still travel, brilliant gig ‘do a runner is still in my top 2 favourite albums. Just wish I could find a version of risk on you tube.

As a 12 year old kid on a paper round budget I mainly bought reduced priced records & I got both Do A Runner & the Delta 5 album for 50p each at Morrisons! Airships was my favourite song, so it was wonderful to hear the demo version. Loved the gnarly synths at the start, I wish they'd kept that sound but i prefer the LP version, more psychedelic and cosmic: definitely the Spizz magnum opus. Many thanks.

Fun fact: Steve Nye produced their stuff. He also produced Tin Drum and the first 3 David Sylvian albums. Some of the Scary Thieves stuff sounds lime it would fit with Japan or Talk Talk.

Saw Spizzenergi at the Camden Underground a couple of Fridays back for the first time in about 42 years. What can I say? I was a 59 year old teenager again for an hour or so. Fu***ng fantastic fun was had by all. It was good to chat with the band afterwards too. Great bunch of blokes.
