Follow me around the barn as I feed the livestock and milk a couple of our goats.

Vintage windows

Restoring rather than replacing. Energy savings would be minimal and the charm of these old windows is amazing. 80 year old windows and they still work.
Rain catchment 1
มุมมอง 603 หลายเดือนก่อน
We test how much rain we can expect to collect from our barn roof. Half of our garage roof is about a sixth the area of half of our barn roof. We need a bigger collection tank!

Pulling fence wire tight with simple tools AND how to use T-post fence clips.
This is how we GLAMP.

Roughing it is not the way we do things. Smoothing it, or GLAMPING, is way more fun. Here's a short review of our last camping trip we made with our daughter and friends over last Thanksgiving.

Let's get popping! You don't need a microwave or popcorn machine to enjoy great popcorn. I'll show you how.

Pancakes from scratch are so easy and taste so good, you'll wonder why you ever wasted money on stuff in a box. We'll be using what we made in the two previous videos too.

Enjoyed life on your farm. The black cat looked do velvety smooth. Looks like a lot of work to keep you out of trouble. 😊
How wonderful to take this goat tour with you Tyler! 😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’m glad Terry gave me the heads up that you were posting it this morning. God Bless You!
Thank You for showing us. Your animals are the sweetest! Was sooo cute to watch the young goats challenging each other & the Uncle breaking them up twice☺️Sorry I missed the devo, will go back & watch on replay☕️
Thank you for taking us along this morning!
Just as this. Looking good
I'm a lil behind on vid. I enjoyed you sharing this, glad it works for you. Beautiful property BP. I've been wanting to do the same here in the city. I lack some to make happen right now. ABY
Looks like the original color of the windows may have been green, from the last window shown. What a pain to do, but well worth the effort. I'm sure it will look amazing when you are finished, plus you get to keep the windows that open out.
Yes, we think so too. The green is a period correct color and we've found shades of green under other trim paint inside the house. As for the work required... it would be SO MUCH EASIER to remove them and install new ones but these aren't made anymore. Our finish color looks to be a dark brown for now, similar to the primer brown. It will blend with any color of the future and looks pretty good.
Wow, my windows look this bad too.
🙏Lots of work ahead. Its gonna look beautiful!
Very cool! (Sometimes literally, lol) a bunch of work but, I think it’s worth it. Great job you two are doing on your homestead!
We'll see how well they keep out the cold.
I love vintage anything. Kinda sentimental & I remember old school quality meant something. Glad you get to fix or restore the beautiful windows. Thanks BP
I even love the crackled paint but these windows will restore beautifully. Thanks
@@splanify2307 they got crackle to add to paint (been there love that too😁)
Congratulations on accomplishing so much. It's got to be very satisfying to see your hard work paying off!
Nice!
Outstanding! 😍👏🏻👏🏻🙏🕊❤️
Great job!
Awesome experiment. Glad it's working out so well!
Love to see all your progress! You have amazing ideas! Hello to you and Terry!
Special goats in Gated Communities 😁 The mic on your hat is working well. Hello Terry! 😊
Terry loves her goats!
@@splanify2307 and you both care for them so well
I would love to see some more Instant Pot recipes!
I'm sure another is coming. We recently found some features on the Instant Pot that helped us make some great yogurt from our goat milk.
Hello, you spoke with my daughter at her work last night and she was excited to show me your TH-cam channel. Great content! I love your chuck box! Looking forward to seeing more from you!
Glad you found it useful. If you like Bible Study, I have another channel called BP Devo. As for this channel, I have several projects on the "back burner." One is rain catchment as an economical good answer to paying for a deep well. So far, it's showing success. We enjoyed meeting your daughter. She's a credit to how you've raised her.
How's the water collection system going Tyler?
I collected 275 gallons in just 4 hours of very heavy rain and have been watering livestock with it since. I have about 100 gallons remaining so this is a big win. My collection area is only 240 sq. feet so when I use the barn roof with 1360 sq ft... I should be in great shape. I'm still working on gutters, collection systems, and filtering, but this is a definite "go for launch."
I like it a lot. Always wounded how it was done.
Beautiful goats! 😍👏🏻❤️
Such a task…FENCES. 😥 You guys are amazing!
Them thar goats are gonna be so blessed! Beautiful land and amazing work!
Another great video! It's exciting to see the progress you are making (and you make it look much easier than I would have imagined!)
Beautiful place! Completely understand the clay soil which is dominant here (near Clay County nonetheless). Enjoyed this! thanks!
cool! I enjoy learning about "stuff" - may never use it but, now I know. Perhaps I can get my son to help me next time he does fencing for his livestock (ha! I'd just slow him down but, still - its fun to learn). thanks!
😎 Great teaching video!
Bad mic placement though. Next video I'll clip the mic to my hat.
That was so well explained. I've watched many videos of people doing a single one so didn't know you could do it both ways or why 😊
You just made my efforts worthwhile . Thanks
Awesome work!
Lovely new digs! Welcome to East Texas to the Woods family!!!!
We're loving it here. Thanks
Careful with that auger. It can get away with you very quickly. I personally found that out. Not fun, almost broke my wrist.
It digs right through the clay but hit a root and you will go dancing. 😯
It was great seeing your new property, and animals! What a wonderful place you have!
Thanks for sharing. It looks beautiful! 🙌
Very relaxed video. I didn't know you could make biscuits in a Dutch oven on top of the stove. Thanks for the idea .
