Anyone that duels tip jets should know the flanker is considered one of the absolute worst dogfighters in warthunder. Beat out only by something like the mig29 SMT. Meanwhile the 15A is something around top 5. Hell, going off of the little bit of the rounds i can see in the video it doesnt even seem like the F15 was being flown optimally here. Regardless the flanker was getting bullied most rounds. The flankers only strength is a downward spiral. Stay out of it and suddenly it becomes hopeless

The fact that this is the same BR as the J35 with NO countermeasures, NO RWR, no amo for the wierd guns, low fuel amount and only 4 RB24J (Aim9 P3s/Js) boggers my mind

Terminology is always bogus when someone spouts it to try and sound smarter rather than actually getting a point across. I prob will never play the game again due to irl, but honestly what I found the most fun was attempting to teach what I knew. Teaching is where you learn the most (other than getting your ass kicked until you figure out why) because it forces you to take a step back and evaluate what you know in order to explain it. I found that in order to make a point understood it's necessary to simplify things. When talking to guys who I learned dueling with, we all kind of ended up coming to similar conclusions and formed our own specific terminology that has nothing to do with bs that these clueless CC's vomit. Discussing lines with people who actually understand the 3D picture sounds nothing like what most CC clowns think it does. We'd break it down into the big 3, Angle, Distance, and Energy. Different lines were created in order to control those 3. (It's been a while) But basically distance controls angle, (angle is true positioning). Energy effects the conditions placed on gaining or losing angle, as it is the resource traded in all maneuvering. All you need to do is explain why you open or close the distance (the input), how you accomplish it (what trajectory the line needs), and what the outcome is going to be (angle). Then discribe the effect the energy states have on the fight going forward (decisions which effect the line). If anyone would take a moment to understand what's going on before trying to teach it would be wonderful. If people would break it down step by step like this it would really be worth watching. The only person who came close to this method (In english not russian) is Ytho. I really wanted to get into making videos like it but things didn't work out time wise. 13:04 you claim this dogfight is symmetrical, but the yak30D is 8.0, whilst the Ariete is 9.0. I'm not well versed in sim at this BR so I'm confused; why don't you do an actually symmetrical fight with a different 9.0?

11:44 9J vs 9G I'm guessing is more of a preference thing. I see so many people prefer the G but I don't see it myself. For me the 9J is astronomically more consistent with kills for both range, turning and flare resistance. But that may just be because I mastered using it with the 2 on the F5E. I've been using the Gs more lately in the Kfir Canard and the Kurnass and they simply cannot do what the J does on a consistent bases

Just put a talisman on mine today, gotta agree. I really love the feel and the weapons but the flight performance is just awful compared to everything around you. But when it works it works so good.

I'm an "oldhead" player to the extreme I guess, in that I've been playing since 2013. I like to think that a lot of the TRUE old guard players (I'd say pre 2018) really tend not to base camp as a whole. I recall warthunder back in the early days being a pretty low-toxicity environment compared to today. I imagine a lot of the economy shifts caused that as people started to stress more on grinding and repair costs, but I'd like to vouch for a lot of long time players who remember the kind of "chivalry" old warthunder had. It sounds like BS but I remember a time where killsteals were EXTREMELY rare, and then it started to be more common the more popular the game got.

I don't even play Missile Thunder because I genuinely dislike it (and thus I naturally have a skill issue in top tier jets since I never play them). But seeing all of this and now the guy doing damage control of his ego in the comments here saying he was trolling is funny as fuck.

The whole point of the bracket system is that everyone has full control over how much, if at all, they are uptiered. If you want to take an 10.7 plane into a 11.7 lobby, go ahead, but shitting on people who do the logical thing and bring 11.7 planes to an 11.7 game is a weird take.

Yo beer thunder, what do you think usually wins in a dogfight against each other, MiG-23M vs F-4E? Also do you think the MiG-23M should be higher br than the F-4E? Cuz right now it is since the 23M is 11.0 and F-4E is 10.7

+5000h player here with every single German plane spaded. - Ta 154 is not good. Looks cool on the outside, but the cockpit is bad. Performance is subpar. It would have been a solid 3.3. - Me 262 A-1a/U1 SKIP????!?!?! Dude what??? It´s the best ASB Me 262 in the game lol. You click on B29 once and it desintegrates into atoms. You can actually even energy fight most of the planes you face and come out on top if you don´t go full elevator all the time but boom and zoom instead which is pretty easy compared to other Me 262 since it gets guns with good balistics. - G.91 R4 is fun until Ariete arrives and it will arrive. So skip for ASB. It prints SL in GRB though. I get 150k SL per game with it in GRB 8.7 lineup. - Hunter F.58 is not good in ASB. Everything you face is supersonic and has radar. It´s extremely boring to play as everyone will run away from you. In ARB is pretty OP though. - Tornado IDS is actually kinda good in ASB if you want to bomb bases and get RP/SL that way. It´s extremely bad in ARB though. - Mig 21 Lazur is meh. You are better off talismaning the Mig 23 MLA. Not this sale related, but keep an eye out for the German Hawk mk.100. It´s an absolute joy to fly, my favorite in ASB and in GRB plus it gets the same insane SL modifier as the G.91 R4. You will be rich in no time. It usually only comes once a year for a brief moment in september. Also if you guys are considering talisman for some planes to play them in ASB, then pick these ones: - He 162 - if you keep your speed, you will be untouchable and the guns are easily aimed. I personally call it the F-16 of WW2 since it´s get oh so nice cockpick visibility. - Su 22M4 - it can bomb bases and on the way back you can actually dogfight enemy fighters. Looks are decieving. It´s a beast in ratefight. I won a ratefight against Mirages even. Very solid plane and enjoyable to fly. - F-104G - it´s a decent plane, you will catch everyone and it´s a good vertical dog fighter. - Mig 23MLA - no brainer. Basically grinded all of top tier with it. Solid radar, solid missiles, solid performance. The only downside is you will rip your wings in level flight if you don´t pay attention to your speed lol. - Mig 29A - easy to fly, handles like a japanese sports car, fast, does exactly what you ask her to do, decent radar for its BR + IRST good missiles (especially the broken 27ER). Only downside is you will run out of fuel quickly. But you get basically 2 guaranteed kills per sortie. - Mig 29G - I would somewhat recommend, but only for brackets where you are the top tier. Virtually the same plane as the A, with great IR missiles for short range dogfights. It clubs 13.0 and below, but it gets clubbed by 13.3 and above.

We're supposed to be able to comment on the br changes before they go live, but they weren't available with the AB/RB changes. So for most everyone it sailed under the radar until it was live.
