“Blue Ridge Mountain Blues” by Chad Brothers
มุมมอง 2946 หลายเดือนก่อน
This song was stuck in my head after a week at the Blue Ridge Guitar Camp in Brevard, NC. After camp I drove up to a cabin in the mountains near Deep Gap, NC and recorded this tune. Deep Gap was the birthplace and home to Doc Watson. Performed on my 1977 Mossman Flint Hills guitar. Enjoy. Blue Ridge Mountain Blues originally written by Cliff Hess.

"Family Tree"

A cold breeze Hits me as I leave And wander along to a different degree Moving through Times like these Feels like I'm falling from an old family tree See the change Of those who surround us The branches all sway the breeze It used to be Just like a lost art Drifting away from the tree Drifting from what used to be You’re gone Before I awake Or were you really ever with me at all Floating Out i...

"Slower Now" written by Chad Brothers Minds to feed Needs to fill People to please The pressure builds Moving through it Slower now Days pass The window wanes A pendulum Oscillates A need to swing Slower now Take your time But don’t be late Good things come To those who wait Patiently Slower now Our planet moves Accelerates Juggling pins Spinning plates Cyclical But slower now Rhythms flow Seas...

12 -fretters always have a sweeter 'airy' sound...
He reminds of a pot-head hippie from the late 60's..I would never buy his music.. can't support this foolishness. Clean up yourself Billy and stop smoking dope.
Beautiful!
You see Billy looking over at Jake…like damn that guy can play
Lovely tune
Bryan is 100% right. It’s not the guitar is the 10 fingers attached to it. I know a few people who bought a pre war Martin because they thought it would make them sound better. Turns out they sounded the same or in one case worse and spent close to 100k of a pile of wood they are stuck with because they over paid on something that it wasn’t the guitars fault but they couldn’t bond with it. Moral of the story play what ever fits you and not vice versa.
Three of the best but there is only one Bryan Sutton.
What a shame you can't see the guy playing
I think I will sell all my guitars and quit playing after watching these guys....my fingers and brain will just not function at that level.
Uncle Larry says that Bryan plays with high action off the fretboard…how can he play so effortlessly?
Must have some strong hands as well.
Pure country joy 😊👏👏👏👌💯
Jake plays the guitar and it cuts through like a good mandolin. There's just no comparison
where’s the rest!?
In December of 1980, Al di Meola, John McLaughlin, and Paco de Lucia recorded the live album Saturday Night in San Francisco. It's probably the greatest jazz fusion guitar album of all time and a classic for guitar lovers of all genres of music. Strings, Workman, and Sutton should record a bluegrass guitar version of Saturday Night in ...
I clearly remember that album....still mind blowing to this day.
I thought I could play Big mon until now. Lol
Nice cross pickin!!
Bryan Sutton is an absolute monster. Notice how he picks up the end of Billy’s solo and uses it to start his own…hi level stuff there
It’s not high level, all just normal
@@guitarman1477 oh ok then guitarman. It isn't magic it's an illusion! Mate, what does someone have to do to surpass normal for you? Shit rainbows?
@@guitarman1477 What does that mean exactly.
Just amazing pickers kicking ass on great instruments
Bluegrass guitar is having a good decade
A rebirth in a way.
This duo deserve listeners/
Since Tony’s passing I think the current GOAT might be Sutton.
Agreed
Norman Blake is still around
Either Norman Blake or Trey Hensley gets the crown for 2024
Bryan and David Grier are my favorites, but Bryan's all around game and in a band setting is as high as you get. Jake and Billy are unbelievable as well.
Bryan has to be one of the tastiest about
Thanks for sharing this with all of us. Great stuff and it reveals the respect they have for the music and the great players that have gone before them.
✌🏼🙏🏻❤️
this makes me smile so bad <3 great
Jake is insane, Bryan is crazy and Billy is certifyable !! My Martin just gave me the finger !
Ditto !
You mean an Advanced Jumbo prototype from 1935.
Thank you
Incredible watching these guys. Nice.
Great singing & picking here man! Looking fwd to camp next year already. Cheers
Thank you, Roam! I really enjoyed hearing you sing at camp. Your rendition of Blue Virginia Blues was stuck in my head about as much as this song was. Looking forward to next year as well. Take care
Man...Jake is insane!
Best in the biz nesssss🔥🔥🔥
Wow. This is killer once it gets its legs! Man! Billy's farming shirt is also super sweet! 🤘
Yes, Tony most definitely played the Ovation, I have owned for countless years, on Manzinita. I also own ..58957. Thank you for these beautiful words to honor him, Wil, and Brian... He loved and respected both of you... Tomorrow, June 8, is his birthday 🎂
Thank you for all the videos of the folks playing the Antique!
Just wanted to point out the Bryan is playing the prototype for the Advanced Jumbo, not a J-35. Killer picking!
Absolutely badass
just two guitar geeks, geeking out--what a thrill to watch them play!
Two masters! The sound of Norman Blake’s ‘34 Martin (a slotted head, 12 fret D18 if I’m correct) is something, in particular in Billy’s hands, but I heard it played by others, it’s just incredible
Geez how about a little bit more about Normans amazing guitar , Billys great playing and opinion? Thats why I'm here
Always nice to hear from respectful & humble professionals 👍🇺🇸 Thank you guys 🙏🇺🇸
Billy can’t put Normans guitar down 😊
2 straight up guitar slingers!
randall collins > done gone ....
Beautiful song, beautiful spot, beautifully performed:)
Thank you for sharing. Made my morning
As Earl Scruggs aid about Vassar Clements, ' He'll do ." .
Thank you
Hell yeah! Randall Collins is the first song that would come to my mind with that guitar too
Sweet brother 🤙😎
Love it man. This is Rory Moon. I’m in SC and go backpacking up in the NC mountains quite a bit. Special place. Have to get together sometime
Great to hear from you Rory. Hope you’re doing well.
Sutton and Strings….
Good job, guys! Nice to hear one of Norman's songs on his guitar. Timeless. Important to consider the relationship between a musician and his/her instrument. No replacing it. Thanks for sharing.
Who wrote this?
A great songwriter named Mackie Redd. It is listed as such in the description of the video. Is that you? If so, thanks for writing the song. And if you'd like me to remove the video, I can do so. Always enjoyed and appreciated your songwriting. signed, a Winfield kid
