Let's take a campy trip down memory lane when young and old alike started watching television during the Golden Age of Television. Remember greasing your hair with Brylcreme, drinking Bosco Chocolate Drink, spending five cents for Chunky. Don't forget the Double Mint Twins, The White Knight, Bonomo's Turkish Taffy, Old Gold Dancing Cigarettes, just to name a few. These classic Commercials have ...

These were fairly common in hotel rooms when I was growing up, especially in the bigger chains like Best Western, Holiday Inn, etc. It was always a treat to see one of these in the hotel room when my folks and I went on vacation, but my mom was usually only willing to pay for an hour's worth of play time, LOL. Some hotels kept the SNES version well into the 2000s...I remember on one of our trips to Disneyland in 2005, the hotel we stayed at had SNES games, and for some reason one of the games you could pick was the SNES Test Cartridge, of all things. Fun fact: the pay per view movies you could also order from Lodgenet included porn, LOL (I think you had to call the front desk and verify that you were 18 or older first)
To all who comes to this happy place, welcome
Yes!, this is where I wanted to end up..., good ol´ VHS tape!!!🤩
Star Trek The Next Generation premiere is a two hour premiere episode entitled “encounter at far point”!
LodgeNet was my most favourite thing about hotels as a kid. It bummed me out that my parents wouldn’t let me play on SNES LN at the Sandman Inn in Calgary, but ever since, they did let me play LN at most every other hotel we visited, which was mostly N64 and GameCube LN.

When I was about five or six (2002-2003), I played the LodgeNet games after successfully convincing my parents. It was my first exposure to the first "Paper Mario", which I claimed at the time was nothing like "Super Mario 64": the first video game I ever played at two years of age at a kid's club. I was weirded out by the fact that everything in "Paper Mario" was made of paper, and I got scared when Bowser defeated Mario in the beginning because it looked as if Mario died. I quit the game midway through the prologue as I couldn't take it anymore. But when I grew older, I got used to "Paper Mario" when I later bought it for my N64 collection at home and beat it easily. Back to LodgeNet, it was essentially at every hotel room my father stayed at while he worked out of state. Also neat that the controller included the TV remote buttons.
Commenting after the news of the new lead singer. This show was iconic because this is when two legends Chester Bennington and Chris Cornell shared the stage to perform Hunger Strike together. Who knew we'd lose both amazing men not long after. I was lucky enough to be here to witness this in person and it was amazing! I had tickets to see them again in 2015 in Atlantic City, but They had to cancel the tour because Chester was injured, and I never got the chance to see them live again, and I was devastated. RIP Chester Bennington and Chris Cornell!
C'était la Belle époque, la 205 était la star des pistes
This was from the in-store laserdisc that played on all of the TVs in the Electric Avenue department. The opening is a bit creepy I must admit, mainly the way the background music cue starts.
"Move asshole"😂
Ill never forget this show. I was there.
Remember staying in nyc and the hotel had one of these…. I didn’t have an n64 at home… I ran up a $600 bill! It got waived lol
I didn't think I could ever feel nostalgia so much that it hurts.
I can't believe it's been 20 years. The song in the first TeenNick bumper is "Where Are We Runnin'?" by Lenny Kravitz, which I only remember from a Guitar Hero game for the Nintendo DS.

Those are Magpies. Or Pied Crows, which are only found in Africa. Magpies. Do correct me if I’m mistaken.
Magpies are found outside of Africa, we’ve got a lot of the nasty buggers in Australia. Walking outside in Spring can be a fkn nightmare
@@AtomicAusI meant pied crows only found in Africa. In Alberta Canada and elsewhere in Canada we have a shitload of magpies too. Grew up with them. Yes, they can be a total nuisance. Incredibly crafty and can be a regular pain in the ass. Commenting on the post I meant they were either magpies, found outside Africa, or pied crows, found only in Africa. My last guess was magpies.🤷♂️
The SciFi channel when it first came on was one of the greatest channels. Loved watching the Hulk, Dark Shadows, and others on here. It was my introduction to The Prisoner. Was cool to see the commercial in this batch

June 2004 was the end of an era for both Nick and Cartoon Network. Rugrats and Hey Arnold quietly aired their final episodes that month. Cartoon Network retired their old logo and introduce their City era that month as well.
I was front fucking row. 🙏
In December 2018, Sonifi (which is LodgeNet’s successor) shut down LodgeNet’s gaming servers, which rendered the gaming function of the service’s game controllers inoperable. The controllers can now only be used as television remote controls.
In early 2013, LodgeNet began the process of discontinuing its gaming service after it ceased sales of its gaming units to new hotels in 2008. Its successor company Sonifi continued to provide technical support for the servers until December 2018, when the gaming service formally ceased operations.
Due to the shutdown of the gaming service the controllers can no longer be used except as television remote controls.
Boooooo!! 😡
god does seing that intro screen and hearing that background music bring back memories, along with seeing Mario cart.
Thank you for this. I added this to the lost media wiki article about lodgenet pay per play roms, and you provided valuable examples of how the roms were a little different ("available now" for namco museum, multiplayer can't be selected for New Tetris, and "if you reset your save data will be lost" on pokemon snap). Do you have any other footage by chance? Or have been to the hotel recently to see if it's still there?
Wildly cool!! I remember these at a hotel in the early 2000s. As with most people my parents shut that idea down real fast haha. Nice to actually see what it was like - my inner child is healing.
First time I got to Play Mario Party 3 and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards was in 2000-2001 in Gainesville, Florida through the LodgeNet service at a Sheraton Hotel. I was like 10 and at a chess tournament as a participant. Such good memories.

Do you have any build a bear workshop commericials from 2005 or 2006?
"Hottest N64 Games?" This is from 2004. Wouldn't "Hottest Gamecube Games" make more sense?
They had a GameCube controller.
I remember as a teen seeing this commercial wanting this jeep so bad now fast forward to 2024 I have it and I absolutely love it
That orange juice is in a can that you can make and it is frozen in the can and there is a slice of fruit oranges and a cup of orange juice.
The kid is pouring some white milk into two cups and he is over filling those two cups and there is a capre sun food the roll ups just like the fruit roll ups.
There is a huge picture frame of a cherry orange fruit and watermelon just like those kids had turned into after they eat their gushers snacks.

I watched the Star Trek Sci Fi Channel Special Edition when it premiered 25 1/2 years ago. It was a great seeing every episode unedited, uncut, seeing interviews with the cast and crew. I have a playlist on my TH-cam channel that has a lot of episodes of it from then.
