Apeman C450-A [ Quality Dash Cam that won’t break your wallet ]
I am very impressed by the full HD and wide-angle daytime view. Night time dark mode is not likable but overall I am enjoying this dash cam.

Thank you, the part tapping into the fuse box helped me.
Great video! Why two different fuses? Why not just one for both lights? Thanks
Hi carreterojr3, Only reason I did not do that because my wires are a bit thick, hooking up two wires with the same fuse may lose contact later on. As you know these fuse boxes are not designed to hook up extra wires to them. But if you are doing the same project, it will definitely work.
@@AnkitSavani thank for your reply. I decided to connect my led strips to the parking/ignition light. However, when turn on the LEDs get very hot! Do yours get very hot when you touch them and is that normal?. I bought them indicating 12v.
Wonderful bhai
Does the pen magnetically attach to the laptop?
Yes it does.
@@AnkitSavani Hey, thanks!!
In various parts of the night footage the video would get super bright and then dim down again (5:44), was that the camera trying to balance the white out or was that high beam?
It was the camera trying to balance light. I did not use high beam at all.
Can i just tap it into the fog light wires instead?
I guess it would work the same. I never tried it but I have seen it someone doing it on youtube.
What is the point of the little white strips of tape? And, how does the red 3M tape work, Is it double sided?
White strips hold the lid in position for accuracy. As these strips come banded in shipping its hard to position it correctly. Also, the 3M tap is double-sided and it comes pre-installed on the wing, so easy to install.
Can you join two red wires together and then tie it to one fuse? Thanks.
The short answer is yes but do not recommend it. As it overloads the fuse and wire. May cause issues like another system in a car stops working.
Good video, like others have said try running any wires along the same route or even conduit as the factory wiring. Use a relay and to reduce load on the trigger wire/fuse and drls need to dim or turn off at night with headlights.
Hi Daryl, I agree with you. I no longer own this car but for my next similar project, I will definitely go with the relay. Thanks.
is it edible?
In which way you are asking? You can download the video and edit it whatever way you want on your computer. Also, there are some inbuilt features like watermark, date and time.
Oh yea, A little salt and pepper, a few drops of evoo...
You don’t have to ground the black to the negative on the battery right? U can just ground it to your car?
Yes, that is correct.
Thanks for the help! Looks awesome!
How bright are your headlights? Mine are super bright so idk if it will look the same or not for me
I have standard honda headlights and honestly, they are not even normal bright. The camera automatically detects low light and dark environment, which makes the screen brighter.
Although the 'sometimes' fuses are typically in the cabin fusebox, routing wire to those is EXTREMELY difficult and requires modification of the vehicle's firewall/bulkhead, :-(
oh boy did not think of that. I have had three cars so far all different brands and they all have fuse box in engine compartment even though interior fuses were in cabin.
OK but how to put the battery in ? It looks very tight, I don't want to break it...
Jacques Foury I was waiting for the same thing.
Nice clean Optima 👍👌
Thanks man!
Hello....Bhaisab....main uss led ko ek on/off switch se chalana chahta hun....aap mujhe bata sakte hain ke uska wiring kaise karoon...thnks
I never tried using on/off switch for my installation. However, I do recommend this: th-cam.com/video/1Q0zMuwXQBQ/w-d-xo.html
Please make a review video.i want to watch you writing by it.
Sorry but I no longer own this pen. I am a Mac user now. But when I had it, I do think it does worth the money. Pen has good calibration with the screen.

@@AnkitSavani Thank you for replying. Now I am really thinking whether buying cuz it is more expensive Apple Pencil. But I felt like buying little more cuz you said "worth the money". Sorry, I am Japanese , not good at English. ><
Where did you get your bumper?
Hi Paul, I bought it from Ebay.
All automotive wire should be covered with tesa tape. In addition to that, wires inside the engine bay should be inside slotted corrugated plastic pipe. That's how it's done.
Hi Gplus, you are absolutely right. I should have done that, but the purpose of the video is to show where to hook up wires. So, I think it made sense that viewers can see where is a wire going and what it is hooking up to.
I give you credit you’re trying to help people.
Buy.
what did you use to cut it?
Just a regular Utility Knife.
But at first i thought the box was a battery :(
What is the metal clasp and tiny plastic thingy for???
The metal clasp is to remove and replace the tip of the pen. Tiny plastic thingy is the replacement for the pen tip.
I wonder if this will work on other laptops that have wacom aes tech?
Hey where do I buy this in India?
Hi Kartik, I live in US so no idea. But I am pretty sure can buy it from the official Dell website.
So what is that silver ring for? And to what do you tether the pen?
The silver ring is to replace the tip of the pen.
i cant figure out how to unscrew it to put the battery in. any help?
How'd you do it? I feel like I'm going to break it on accident.
Hi, Just pull it little hard with care. I do not think you will break it. Good luck.
About to put this on my optima! Next week!
I wont to buy this one from Wish, are you happy with this ?
Yes, I am extremely satisfied with this. Of course, it does not help from performance side but it definitely gives my car a bit of a sporty look. Good luck installing it!
Do you know if this pen has a hover click option like the bamboo ink?
Yes, the pen does have that option.
Can you please make a review using it?
Sorry but I no longer own this pen. I am a Mac user now. But when I had it, I do think it does worth the money. The pen has good calibration with the screen.
I did mine thanx to you and completed it literally took 20 mins thanx for your help and clear video god bless you brotha.
Good job brotha looks good
It sticks ok ? Did you have any problem until now ? How about when you wash your car ?
Hi, I did not have any problems with it and it sticks very well. I wash my car every month with pressure water and I don't think it is ever going to come off.
Can you directly tap it with the car fog lights or you need to follow the same procedure
Hi, It should work the same as long as your fog lights have similar voltage output.
Which solvents you used at the start ?
I don't think I did use any solvents. What do you mean by solvents(for understanding)?
Ankit Savani i mean the liquid in the bottle you applied before sticking the spoiler... what was it ?
Oh, that was Alcohol First Aid. Just to clean dust.
Ankit Savani oh okay mate haha....Thanks 😁😁
you ground your wire on your car body right? (the green color wire) just to confirm again... btw, thanks for the video! simple cool and smart!
Hi Heah, yes that is correct. Good luck with installation.
So... let me see if i understand... the posite cable of the leds we have to conect to the fuse( one of the side s of the fuse, one side should be positive and the other negative, is that it? so the led to the right will go connect to one fuse and the led for the left side for the other fuse, right? now , where i put the negative cable of the leds? on the ground? i dididn t understand that. Regards
Hi Cág', you are right. Positive cable goes to the fuse and negative goes to ground. This is very simple. For ground connection you connect cable to any metal part of the car body. I hope this helps.
This is not the rite way to do it. You adding more load on top the existing fuse what you should done is? Use the fuse taper and pick up the juice from the fuse box which located inside the car. In this case you don't have to charge the power and if it blow u only losing the light nothing else. Thank you for the video . And look forward to change the wiring use the fuse taper
Hi Mechanic, Thanks for your suggestion. I did this video while ago and I was not aware of that. If i pull this project on my next car, I will definitely go for fuse taper.
THE MECHANIC Re-read the 5th word you spelled... Thats not the right way to do it.
Nice and clear installation man. So i got a set from iJDMtoy for $20 and it only came with a black and red wire on each bar. I should be able to follow the same process as you right? However I heard it is not "safe" to fuse it directly tapping it to a fuse. What are your thoughts mister? Thanks bro. I really wanna get these on haha but I wanna know if there are any precautions.
Hi Andy, Using connections with fuse is safe. Because if there is any voltage change fuse will protect your car and your light. However if you use direct connection with battery it is very unsafe. But both works the same. And YES wiring process will be same for your light as well. Thanks.
do you need adapter for this?
No, you do not need an adapter for this. But if you want you can use one. It just requires one or two extra wire connections with your headlights or sidelights.
Why didn't you use the same fuse for both? It should work.
Hi Maween, Only reason I did not do that because my wires are a bit thick, hooking up two wires with same fuse may loose contact later on. As you know these fuse box are not design to hook up extra wires to it. But if you are doing same project, it will definitely work.
Nice check out what I did to my car
I have the same car So the fuses you used should work On Mines ..And What kinda Wires I need 4 Extra Length installing Under headlight ?
Hi, required equipment list and where you can find those stuff information is listed under video description. I did buy 15 feet length of cable and after installation I had still 3-5 feet cable left. So you can get the idea how much cable length you need. Good luck with installation.
unfortunately in Australia the lights have to switch off when headlights are on but the fuse idea if run through a relay is a good idea.
I heard many people saying it. I did google my self but nothing found on that rule. However, I like your idea running it through relay. Or you can also use connector by spending couple of more bucks.
this is the western Australian design rules. ( DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS Daytime running lamp means a lamp facing in a forward direction used to make the vehicle more easily visible when driving during daytime. The retro fitting of daytime running lamps is acceptable provided the lamps comply with Australian Design Rule (ADR) ADR 76 and are fitted as per ADR 13: Colour White Number Two Position: Fitted symmetrically (same position on both sides of the vehicle) at the front of the vehicle. In height: above the ground not less than 250mm or more than 1,500mm. Not more than 400mm from the sides (extreme outer edge) of the vehicle; at least 600mm apart between the inner edges, may be reduced to 400mm where the overall width of the vehicle is less than 1,300mm. The angle of the beam may only be outwards 20° and inwards 20° and upwards 10° and downwards 10°. The daytime running lamps shall be switched ON automatically when the device which starts and/or stops the engine is in a position which makes it possible for the engine to operate. The daytime running lamp shall switch OFF automatically when the front fog lamps or headlamps are switched ON, except when the latter are used to give intermittent luminous warnings at short intervals.) :-)
Hello there, it is good to know.
No problems with the heat from the radiator causing the wiring to fail? It seemed kind of close
Hi Joe, It may seem close but it is not. Normally it happens if wire is touching it or closer then a inch or two. I have used tough wire too. So far it is working great, but if you are going to try it you might wanna make sure about it.
