I was near town of simsbury for 1 year. I used to go to a Starbucks there and drink a cup of frappuccino.. I miss those times.
Where's part 2?
That’s all of CT thank the governor another Biden JR.
Much better than Republican states that's for sure. Have you seen the messes in Mississippi Louisiana Florida Arkansas Kentucky compare the poverty crime rates poverty health care pay rates incarceration rates and education to Republican states and you'll realize Connecticut is a very good place to live compared to most of the USA.
Pricey $$
Man, I was almost brought to tears. I served my lds mission here for 2 years and lived in Torrington for 2 months. BEST area!!! I left a little of my heart there 😢
Ct here. I never really been through Torrington . Nice video
Taxes are a big problem in Torrington. High taxes and the worst roads.
That’s all of CT except where the rich and democrats live.
I strongly disagree.
Republican states are far worse. Have you seen Mississippi Louisiana Alabama Florida Kentucky Arkansas etc???
@@RobSanchez-t4e I spent some time in Tennessee , Ohio and New York and their roads were fine.
This is my home town. All y'all are surprisingly accurate. Nice spots, shit spots. Once thriving in thr manufacturing age. Lots of opiates.
ayy i live here
Do one n New Hartford, CT. Lived there 1969 2:16
Thanks for taking us there! It appears to be a nice enough area. Really enjoyed seeing the DQ there. It immediately lets you know the heyday of the city must have been the 1950s/1960s. Must have had a drive-in movie theatre, too, I’m guessing. Any town that still has a DQ can’t be all-bad. So glad they didn’t knock down those stately multifamily homes in those working-class neighborhoods with the big front porches and building those cheap, ugly apartment buildings and townhouses, completely destroying the character of the place with some kind of hodge-podge modernization. Still, like most cities nowadays, seems pretty car-centric. But we didn’t see any huge empty lots downtown and weed infested parking lots where big box stores once lived, thankfully. No graffiti? Why so few people walking and cycling I’ll never know. Torrington is another one of those cities off the beaten path but still a seemingly laid-back and livable town probably more so in days gone by than today.
It's a shit hole. I grew up a town or two over and my wife was bon and raised there and her mother is a teacher at the middle school. Absolutely not a place to raise a family or want to live if you have any common sense. It used to be a decent area about 20-25 years ago.
I live in Torrington. It’s not bad at all. Also I’ve found that the walkability of the downtown is decent. Then again, this video basically only show the bottom east main, main, and then a couple of random streets going off of them.
Still looks decent but drugs are a huge problem in the city as I understand it.
Much more developed and densley populated than I would have imagined. Some very nice areas, and some kind of rurndown ones as well, and some of streets need some work. Doesn't look like a bad place to live though especially compared to some other cities in CT.
Cant wait for part 2
Love the downtown Dewey destination❤. Great video. Thx this is going to be my new home
Those old looking western houses are actually a movie prop from western movies
My house! Love my home ;)
Snow! Unfortunately I was out of town.
Rambo led me here
Cool video did you shoot it ?
Thank you. Yes, I did shoot it. :)
