Thanks for the recommendations!! I'm still dipping my toes into the fantasy genre. I am excited to read Veronica Roth's new fantasy book, When Among Crows. It has already come out, but I'm pretty sure it only came out a month or so ago. I just got it from the library but I haven't started it yet!

Thank you TH-cam for suggesting your channel. I look forward to your Stormlight journey. I was never a fantasy fan, but decided to pick it up on the recommendation from other booktubers. I have to say, I’m now a fan… of Sanderson. Still have trouble with some other authors. So I realized im too superficial of a reader and missed a whole tone of Easter eggs. I remember going on a Sanderson Reddit and kinda skimmed through the headlines and thought, “What!!!!” Then had to go back and read the series again. So my 5 ⭐️ rating then became a 1000 ⭐️ rating. Anyway, sorry for my rambling. I can’t wait for you to read Words of Radiance. Every time I think I can’t cry more, I read the next book. Ughh so good.

I haven't read most of them but have some on my TBR. I have read (and really enjoyed) ACOTAR. I loved Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. I really look forward to the next one. I plan to read A Touch of Darkness and The Serpent and the Wings of Night in June. We will see if it happens. My plans tend to go awry since I really am a mood reader :D I think I started Vampire Academy a long time ago. I need to give it another go. Have you read any PC Cast? I love the House of Night series and plan to reread them soon as well as some of the other books by that author. Also want to reread the Beautiful Creatures series.

I am now currently reading the first book: The Book That Wouldn't Burn". You will love it. and you will fall in love with Livira. (no spoilers).

Just finished book 2 of the series and can say that I am definitely a fan of Brandon Sanderson. LOVE this series so much so far. I have been trying to explain the books to my husband and my best friend and it is so difficult! It is like so much happens but, without the context that the setting and the world building gives, most of it sounds so unexciting or maybe not unexciting, just less impactful than it was. I want to shake them, shouting "Read the Books so you'll Understand!" Every time I think "what else could possibly happen?" something else happens that keeps me completely obsessed with the story.

Great book review. I just received purchased this book from BOTM and I'm looking forward to diving in.

I loved the Way of Kings. I finished it last month and it was my first Brandon Sanderson book! I am getting ready to start Words of Radiance.

Read two Wheel of Time books and wasn't really feeling them either, never felt like picking up the 3rd book. I only even read the second one because people were saying he was trying to emulate Tolken for the first one, but it still didn't catch my interest like I hoped.

The Fifth Season is only partially in second person, so it’s not the whole thing, and in my opinion it’s so seamless that you barely even react to it, I don’t think I thought about it until after I read it 😅 so I think you’ll be fine (extremely biased since I love it so much)

Your book shelf is top tier also I heard the romance in iron flame isn’t as strong

I discovered your channel through this video. I read the entire "Dune" series during the pandemic - you'll be amazed at how the first book is only a scratch on the surface of what happens. It gets REALLY crazy around book 4-5. The last book was the only one that felt like a letdown. Happy Reading! 😎📚👍

Ah, it seems our tastes are totally reversed! Ninth House was just ok for me in 2019, but nothing hits harder for me than fae and toxic romance that isn’t just about the romance.

I didn’t ever read or see Harry Potter. I felt I was too old for it, as it seemed to be marketed heavily towards kids. Can’t wait to read Fourth Wing! My very first fantasy book was, “Jeremy Thatcher Dragon Hatcher” I LOVED it so much that even as an adult, I know that book is what made me a fantasy genre kind of person. How did you like An ember in the ashes? I feel like it wasn't quite as good as the hype made me believe. I loved Elias and the journey that he went through, but Laia wasn't my favourite. I liked the second book a lot better, and Helene really grew on me in this one. I loved From Blood and Ash - very angsty romance, but the mystery of the fantasy plot was surprisingly good as well.

I'm like you I can only really read 1 book at a time. Never apologise for your TBR no matter what it looks like! I've not hard if any of those and they all sounds good. I've been reading a lot of stand alones lately and its been good to be in a world and leave it BUT thinking it may be time to call into a bigger world ❤
