Hi so an FBX file allows for growth ? And the twin motion file enlarges the form. Is that correct ? Therefore FBX is better as the sliding growth allows for the volume and character changes

Hello, to put it on the scale, measure a line that knows the dimension and take this number that is on the dimension and divide it by the value that is currently measuring, the result can be applied to the scale by typing when using the scale icon! Ex: 5m/ 7.5 = 0.6 (scale factor to be used)

Hello. With globe models put the fbx inside the maps folder. Then when it loads all maps will be applied. It even works with the new option of batch importing. Also, Lumion is aware but when loading a globe plant model of any type enable the option to force dbl sides. The model will look even better. I have worked with Lumion on this and am awaiting a patch where this doesn’t always have to be the case.

I love Lumion

When you apply a material, make sure you have the face correctly oriented, with the white facing outwards. And when you create that component to represent the shrub/tree/flowers, choose 'Set Component Axes' in the middle of the circle, it will help you when you place, rotate or scale it.

Just to rectify Plants are easier to animate than people. we just simulate it with physics and wind then bake the animation. and lumion doesn't look even simulated it looks more of a procedural approach. but great video overall!

Great option for doing imports, and a powerful combination overall for technical drawing.

One way to make scaling easier: Measure on that scale from 0m to 5m and when sketchup says it's 3m, just type 5m and <Enter> and it will rescale the drawing according to your most recent measurement, to be exactly 5m. This way you can avoid repeatedly getting closer. closer, but never exactly the right length.

This was really helpful for a pending school project I am doing right now... Thank you so much! You deserve more for this since majority of the videos regarding this only shows the paid extensions... I liked and subscribed, much love.

I am a self taught native plant designer who has taught myself. I am currently using Realtime Landscaping Architect which designs in 3D and is extremely intuitive and user friendly. I keep running up against obstacles that this software can't do and am trying to figure out where to go from here. I'm not sure I understand the advantage of using Sketchup or Lumion. I need a program that I can learn to model native plants...native plants are extremely scarce in the 3D modeling world, and the ones I do find are usually incorrect. Can you help me understand where to go next? Thanks
