At last I have put together a (rather shaky) 'Road Test' of my Classic 1970 Garelli Monza!
I have owned this bike since 1977, when I used it for a couple of years. I kept it in my garage in a very dilapidated state until 2005, when my Dad started the cosmetic restoration works. in the last few years I have rebuilt the engine with new main bearings and seals. Some parts have been replaced, but basically she's mostly original.
Although the restoration is still not fully complete, she now runs as well as she did all those years ago, and has been road worthy for the last year or so. I have taken her to a few Classic Vehicle shows as it's something quite unique these days and worth showing.
Now at 53, I still enjoy riding what was made as a 16 year old's bike. It's still a fun machine more than 44 years after it was built!
