I SERIOUSLY DESPISE the whole idea of Phase 4 being scrapped since it was the very first thing that made me get invested on Dusttrust on the First place. I think at this rate I'm going to make by myself the whole phase 4 because no one seems to be interested on making such a thing

I'll be completely honest, I used to think there was only one Dusttrust take, that being Legacy. Then I believed that Pre-Leak was the updated version and that everyone was just making fangames of THAT because the real one wasn't finished. But COME ON, this many takes?! It really makes me wonder how many ways possible there are to reiterate the same Disbelief tracks over and over again with the SAME concept nontheless, only to have them all remade so much they eventually spiral into their own themes. Even if most of the past takes are scrapped now, I feel like they should still be used for something at least. And since I looked at it, I now take "Maniac's Revenge (Reboot)" as my favorite Dusttrust Phase 2. (alphabet song banger)

This video isn't exactly the most correct so let me explain better. Dustswap and Swapdust are BOTH swapped dusttale, the au dustswap butterfly effect is created by d4n stealing the name dustswap because renmargo (someone who people think own dustfell and dustswap, despite him acting like it he does not as mentions of both dustfell and dustswap existed prior to renmargo's drawings) "gave ownership" to him, despite him never actually owning dustswap, it's real name (whether d4n wants to call it this or not) is dusttale butterfly effect, there is no swapping being done, instead it is making it so sans somehow convinces papyrus to assist him in his run despite canon dusttale outright stating this can't happen. So, why do I say both dustswap and swapdust are swapped dusttale? Well swapdust (an au that came way before renmargo's drawing, with it's own drawings too) is based off of carrot and blueberry (aka fanonswap) and is a swapped dusttale, and dustswap is a swapped dusttale if it was more canon to underswap, hope this helps.

You see, I think everyone should call it dustswap since some dusttrust takes are called dustswap: dusttrust or just dustswap (like dustswap melancholy and sawsk's take of dusttrust). And I do have some more evidence to back up a claim like that. Like how if you were to use this naming convention it would be called Swapdust: Trustdust. You can look at ari's timeline and see that distrust would come before dusttrust. I have not seen a single person called it Swapdust: TrustDust. and to top things off this was all started because a group of people decided that every swap au must follow the naming conventions of fellswap/swapfell. (alright, if you need more evidence start the thread).

The final era is azzy dusttrust-

Dustswap is underswap dusted, the “dustswap” that has sans still alive just stole the name “Dustswap” , originally “swapdust” that’s the REAL Dustswap came before that AU, so in reality, “swapdust” IS Dustswap, and the other Dustswap could be called Dustswap 2 or Dustswap butterfly effect, so yea, do research before making these videos.

Legacy and pre-leak are genuinely the only good eras, everything after that is a mess, boring and not as cool

to be honest its kinda weird and funny at the same time that just switching the names like for example outerfell and switch the names to fellouter makes all the difference dustswap and swap dust are also a good example of this

Dustrust X is cool

The dustbelief papyrus and sans remind me of Dustbelief and Dusttrust but dustbelief style

Also i believe swapdust sounds like your swapping the roles backwards into Papyrus being the murder and sans being the Following murder/ Lv 6 guy

I think the reason it's called dustswap was probably because before swapdust was the actually name for it the fandom called it dustswap because it matches it but now sense Dustswap butterfly stole are brains now we must choose witch sounds better to understand witch is witch

im just gonna call it "Undertale: the butterfly effect" instead of "dustswap: the butterfly effect" because its much less confusing

While I prefer modern AU logic as it at least makes a system for some more complex AU's, like for people who might want to make SwapFellSpin or SpinShiftShift for some crazy unfathomable reason I cannot comprehend... I don't think it really matters much in the end, as it's just a name, and the people who get salty about modern logic being used or not being used should just do something far simpler and far more convenient, which is just to call it what the owner of the specific AU or AT take wants to call it. That would solve a lot more problems than just trying to argue over stuff like Dustswap and Swapdust.

these games are never coming out trust me Great video BTW; super informative and it's clear that you put in a lot of time and effort to research this chaotic mess of an AU lol. This, along with the other two videos you made are helpful and clear the fog even for people like me who have been in the Undertale community since the beginning of Dusttrust.
