Crazy that the third largest town in the Yukon only has 344 people.

A lot of people think that sports representation equates to larger population. I was shocked to see that typically heavy sports towns like St. Louis, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Tampa, Miami, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh all have smaller populations than my city, Raleigh NC. Salt Lake City hosted an Olympics!

A lot of people think Juneau is bigger than Fairbanks. What this list doesn't tell you is that the city of Juneau merged with the local borough for a municipal population of about 32,000. Fairbanks city limits is about 31,000. But our area is closer to 100,000. So Fairbanks is by far and away much bigger than Juneau.

Alaska doesn’t actually have counties. They have boroughs and census areas. Most cities are their own county as well. Anchorage isn’t actually a city or a county it’s official name is the municipality of Anchorage, whatever that means

For Colorado, the name of the smallest county is San Juan, not San Jaun.
