✨NEW✨ FIRST TIME COOKING VENISON TENDERLOIN! Cook With Me!
In today's video, I cook VENISON TENDERLOIN for the first time! This came out SO GOOD, so come along and cook with me!
Instant Pot Venison Tenderloin Roast Recipe:
3-4 lbs venison tenderloin
1 Tbsp EVOO
3 Tbsp butter
Seasoning (to taste)- salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, vegetable seasoning
1 cup water
1/2 tsp dried rubbed sage
1 tsp dried rosemary
2 bay leaves
2-3 large potatoes
1/2 lb carrots
Unsing the "saute" function, sear venison on all sides and season to taste with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and vegetable seasoning.
Add 1 cup of water and scrape up all the stuck bits off the bottom of the pot.
Pressure cook on high for 1 hour. After pressure cooking is done, add sage, rosemary, and bay leaves, and slow cook on high for another 2 hours. Add potatoes and carrots. Slow cook on high for another hour. Enjoy!

Why do americans like to whitewash everything?
It has been a long time since I've harvested a deer (I only hunt elk these days), however, That looks a bit large to be a tenderloin from a deer (but it could have been a very large deer). It looks more like a backstrap, which some people also call a loin. Either way, loin or tenderloin, good job! With elk tenderloin and loin (backstrap) I use the sous vide method and sometimes will leave it cooking at 140 degrees F for up to 24 hours. I bet that would work for deer as well!
It was a loin- I totally misspoke! 😊 I’ve seen people use sous vide for steak 🥩 and it looks so good! I’ve never seen an elk in person, but hope to one day!
