We just spotted your tour bus on I-84 in Connecticut! Also, we have family that lives in Florida, NY! Small world… 🎄 Merry Christmas! 🎄
Super
I never thought to look up Jimmy. Great channel.
I used to dance to his polka orchestra at Lakeview Park ballroom in Mendon Mass 50 years ago and he is still great.
Thanks for sharing your barn with us and sharing your story about your tv show.
The good old days
JIIMMY STURR YOU ARE A SCAMMER TO STACK THE DECK and win your GRAMMYS. YOU ARE AN EGO MANIAC. ITS ALL ABOUT YOU !!!!!!!!! YOU RUINED THE GRAMMY AWARDS for POLKA MUSIC when they ELIMINATED THE GRAMMY from YOUR ABSURD amount of GRAMMY WINS. YOU PISSED OFF A LOT OF PEOPLE and NO ONE IS NAIVE to your CHEATING to get the award. i DONT HAVE ANY RECORDINGS by you and NEVER WILL HAVE. ACTUALLY YOUR BAND SUCKS TO THE KIND OF CHICAGO STYLE MUSIC THAT I LOVE. OTHER GRAMMY NOMINEES WENT TO THE GRAMMYS WITH FALSE HOPES OF WINNING BECAUSE OF YOU. YOU ARE NO CREDIT TO POLKA MUSIC,ONLY THE OPPOSITE. EDWARD FROM CANADA
Nobody does it better than Jimmy Sturr.
N1❤
The same band that played at Hibernia rd, Poughkeepsie ❤

See Jimmy Often. For over 50 years he has been at the Top of the Polka Field!
The greatest of all time ..... nobody else even close !!!

I saw Jimmy Sturr as a kid at the Wayne county fair in NEPA, and I loved this song. It was the first concert I ever attended. Good memories.

I miss dancing the polka with you
Seen Jimmy and the band perform live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in summer of 2008 and that's when my entire perception of POLKA music changed forever. Talent like no other in this everlasting genre.
Reminds me of my Mom and Dad. They used to Dance all the time.
❤❤❤
I saw you with Chris Caffrey of Trans Siberian Orchestra in Bethlehem PA at Musikfest
Wonderful Bobby. GREAT
Lookin' good, soundin' good, Jimmy! Merry Christmas and break a lip tonight at the Paramount, from one of your WALL co-conspirators!
Ich bin zwar alter Rock'n Roller aber das Jimmy Sturr orchestra ist absolute Spitzenklasse Greats from Bremen
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Saw this orchestra back in the day when a place called Blob's Park was hosting polka dances. It was a big deal when Jimmy Sturr and his tour bus rolled into town. Great orchestra, great sound and the crowd loved to Polka!
We too enjoyed Jimmy Sturr at Blob’s Park.
u
I saw Jimmy Sturr several years at The Orange Blossom Opry in Wiersdale Fla. This man took the time to play tribute to every military branch at the end of his show with the ENTIRE theme of each branch which we ALL veterans thought that was a great tribute. Thank you Jimmy !!!!!!!
I've got my ticket! Looking forward to the show.
Jimmy Sturr Orchester! Hello Jimmy from Sunny Florida! Tampa Bay dances to your music! (Especially Me, Jimmy!) I have my favorites. "Polka Dottie" here in New Port Richey.

Brenda Lee, Wanda Jackson. Both great.
Like your "fireside chats!" Great concept to keep connecting with all who love you!
Very nice Jimmy. And truly wonderful memories of that particular version of Clarinet Polka in Branson. 👍
These weekly chats are awesome. I always wondered how you got started with music. It makes me think back to when I started in music myself. I began playing the piano at age three, and would pick up the accordion at age 12. Myron Floren's accordion playing was really what got me started on the instrument. Having been born totally blind, I had to learn everything by ear as there would have been no easy way to read braille music and play the accordion at the same time. I would later attend Berklee College of Music, and graduated from there in 2003. Since then, I've been touring as a soloist, and as a member of a band known as the Stratton Mountain Boys. Now, due to recent circumstances, I, like you and so many others, find myself out of the job. However, music is still as important to me as it always was. I have always enjoyed your orchestra's music, and remember fondly the times when we performed together in the past. I am glad to hear that you are well.
Love the weekly shows. Still no substitute for shows. Too bad I don’t get RFD tv.
Another great story time. Keep them coming.
Lmao. Your Dad was shot by Babe Ruth! Never knew that
Thank you for showing us your barn, and most of all, thank you so much for preserving not just a barn, but a piece of history, barns are becoming a rare site these days because too many are neglected and falling in and get tore down. Someday I would hope to create a small hobby of preserving barns for people who can't afford to, many farmers put fixing their barns on the back page of their to-do list. Weather this will be something I ever do, I don't know, but it's been a thought. Thanks also for this great story of how you got going on your show and stuff, looking forward to many years of hearing you and your band.
How well I remember your early days and all the nights I spent in your house and your mom and dad. I never heard the story about the pheasants and Babe Ruth...or at least if I did, I forgot it. I enjoyed the bus tour very much. My best to you. Hope to see you again soon. Derek (Dick ) Bloomfield
