Looks so great, unfortunately this doesn't work as of August 2024. Freeform Sheets has been "upgraded" though I use that word very lightly. It seems more like they downgraded it and got rid of a lot of the buttons this guy is using. I spent a couple days trying to figure out any workarounds to still get this operational, but the nail-in-the-coffin is that double clicking the @ text boxes no longer lets you input a new value. In fact, double clicking them doesn't do anything outside of your template document. So you need to resort to just filling it out like a regular pen-and-paper doc. The closest I could get to operational was filling the System's character sheet out fully, then changing the sheet's "Sheet" to the FFS template. But not only does that mean you'd need to make a template for every player, but it also means you're still maintaining a system sheet instead of being able to actually edit a FFS sheet. It's just adding an extra step to make the sheet "pretty".

This game is amazing. i watched this video and was so glad it popped into my feed. i have lived inside this pdf for over a week, writing my own slightly tweaked version for my table. its just phenomenal. the other day i ran a game where the party were dragons that lost mommy dragons horde of gold while she was away and they had to get it back. my 8 year old grasped these rules instantly.

A detail I missed. There is mention of "original games'. This is referring to and making known, that Hack 100 is based on the idea you came from Warhammer FRP (one of the editions) or something like Warlock! or other grim settings in the British role gaming style.

This little design would knock it right out of the park, but there are no monsters. None. Not even so much as a mention of the word 'monster'. But for PC creation, this gem is pure gold. Because it looks amazingly like many d100 designs though, I'm guessing robbing those for monsters will be easy.

is their a way to have npc tokens that enter the map to have random HP, like 2d8 instead of just 9?

Good afternoon, guys, I really need help, I'm trying to use the Freeform Sheets module, but I leave everything ready and working, but I can't find the place in the character's file to access the image attached to the character, as per the attached photo, if Does anyone have this module and in V11 (the current one I use) please help me.

outstanding tutorial, perfect refresher for people who are already familiar with the tool but forgot all about it (me), or people who are new to it and want to see an overview before diving in deep (also me some time ago) the tip for using r/battlemaps was great too

Very Helpful. I recently heard you can embed a Google Sheet in an , in a Journal, with something like a "< src="docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/<SheetID>/edit?rm=minimal#gid=0" style="height:810px;width:625px;border:none" title="PAGE_TITLE"></>". Any way you know of to do that as a Character sheet instead, with the tabs pulling up different sheet tabs, or different sheets entirely? (I like the auto-math sheets will do for me, and also that I can have players access their sheets at any time).

Nice. I learned D&D from this version as a player and I want to revisit it for the DM advice. It was interesting to learn the previous version works better for reference so I wonder if it would work to go through Metzner and then go back to Moldvay. I’ll have to look for the adventures you mentioned.

Wow, this looks like a real simple and straightforward D100 system, with minimal character sheet bloat. I can see myself running this to save alot of headaches!

I no longer see Simple World-building in there. I see one called “simple worldbuilding plus” but looks like a different author. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the video. I am going to try out cepheus faster than light with a group of students. Have been playing whitestar (whitebox style rpg) for the last two years. But am interested in trying not of a skills based game. Mongoose 2e, I doubt would hold the attention of middle school kids because of the crunch and choices. I didn't know there were simpler versions of cepheus version. Nice podcasts!

I get that you’re using the 5e system as a base, but what did you do to change some of the stats in the 5e character template? For example, in Skills you have “Riddle” and “Travel”. And a number of other small changes. What allows this? Thank you for these great videos!

Why would you make B/X worse by adding 5E to it? Just run B/X it's the best edition.

Not doable anymore. This module is deprecated and the built in PDF importer does not support fillable sheets, the changes get wiped out as soon as you tab out of the sheet to another page.

This is the best RPG generator I have ever seen. Simple, elegant, creative.

It does look like a great book and I wish I'd know about the Kickstarter, but $30 dollars for the PDF might be a bit rich for my blood. I might just have to wait and hope they do a POD version.
