“All of you know what it’s like as you come over the hill. Bill Turned to me and said, my god, he said you could cut it with a knife. The atmosphere, the feeling. Little by little, it was transformed into truly an AA place.” Marty Mann.

Local News Interviews High Watch Recovery Center

Watch a short clip by Channel 3 news on what local lawmakers are proposing - a major crackdown including a plan to charge some drug dealers with homicide if their drug kills. Watch a short interview with High Watch Recovery Center President & CEO, Matthew Walton.
Do you show them Father Martin Ashley’s chalk talks? They are fabulous.
Please, even if you don't know anyone who uses drugs, pick up some Narcan and a rescue barrier/ mouth shield¹. If you don't have a mouth barrier, don't let that stop you from acting. I am a micro- biologist and veteran paramedic in long term "recovery" and I can tell you the risk of disease transmission from rescue breathing is exceptionally low and far outweighed by the live you will save. If you don't know where to get a mouth barrier or can't afford ask someone from your local fire department or emergency room. Over the last 20 years I've given out hundreds of mouth masks and thousands of doses of Narcan (it used to fall out of our gear bags)
She's amazing strong woman thank you Marty for helping pave the way far an addict like me r.i.p
Beautiful!! I love watching this video!! Hope is alive and well. God bless you Matt! 🙏❤️
I lived near there and went to visit a young boy who was there for treatment. From the moment I arrived at the top of the hill I felt Sister Francis calling me. I don’t know why. I married a person whose last name is Francis only to discover he is an alcoholic. I so want to work there in some capacity. Their restaurant in town, “Wilson’s “ Is one of the top restaurants in the area. I recommend this treatment center to anyone who is able to go there. Truly. It’s a magical space.
lol.. the ceo says 3 times a day at a barn, forgets about 830 community meeting, 100 living sober, 730 AA meeting, and the nightly movie.. all on those uncomfortable chairs.. yet multi-million auditorium that has the acoustics of my half-bath in the basement
I Guess You Think That Was Funny Right Imbecile...
Kent Connecticut was my childhood home
like too go there
Amazing woman and speaker! Love our AA history. ❤️
Marty!!!
Beautiful story of hope!
Matt I'm glad that you have found the help you needed. Good to see you smiling again
So glad you were blessed with High Watch. I hope someone watching this will use your courage and call High Watch today. Thank You for sharing
Matt I always knew you had it in you and I'm so proud of you I've seen you slip and fall and you moving away and making this decision was the best thing of your life. I am so proud to have met you when I did that was my first time in treatment we had so many laughs and connected on so many levels. I've now been clean for almost 5 years and it's through the grace of God. All the glory is his. This is my dream job maybe not so far away due to having children but you have made the best decision of your life going to high watch and I can't tell you how proud I am of you today. I knew it was only a matter of time where you found someone who really cared out you. They program directors are a blessing for sure. One thing I never forget is where I came from but your story is such an inspiration. You went from hopeless to hopeful. You were always such a great friend and I'm so proud we both made it to the other side. We have lost too manyc close friends. You deserve everything you have my friend much love, Jillian
I miss you, Dave! Wise words from a good man that always gave sage advice.
Marty deserves more acknowledgement by the clubs as a primary founder of the program. Her picture should always be on the walls where Bob and Bill are.
Marty was the first woman who got sober in AA, supposedly...She did not however, have anything to do with the founding of it. She also, did NOT stay sober for the rest of her life, and in fact, relapsed shortly before her death, which was by suicide. Dont make statements when you are obviously ignorant
@davidscott4_ on Instagram recovered my iwatch within 20 minutes. He is reliable and a pro.
