You can perform a similar technique using partially developed Polaroid images by peeling the back off early, when the image is still wet and developing and press it onto slightly moistened large grain watercolor paper and, using the back of a spoon, rubbing it for a minute or so and then carefully peel the backing off of the face of the paper, leaving behind a ghost imprint of the developing Polaroid image.
