These three patterns are designed to provide a strong foundation for finger picking and can be used in many different medicine songs, and applied to any chord progressions
This lesson incorporates right hand techniques that are commonly used in solo guitar medicine song arrangements and can be helpful to those interested in classical guitar, acoustic fingerstyle guitar, world music guitar, or medicine music style guitar.

Thank you for your content
Gracias!!!
Very helpful. I appreciate the pace and practice "attitudes" a good reminder of how to practice properly. I'm 65 and was a musician at university, from trumpet to guitar. Good guiding video.
Thanks, Greg! It's nice to hear this from someone who studied at university. I find the practice attitudes so important but am mindful that it is not the most exciting thing to hear 🙂
thanks for this details details details which i can learn and see what your fingers are doing .. new subscriber here. Please keep it coming.
Thanks for subscribing and welcome! I'm glad you are enjoying the lessons so far. Much, much more to come! Lmk if there is anything you'd like to see as well
Hey brother, beautiful, so happy to have found your channel ✨️ whenever you have time, could you do "Flor de Aleli" Ciro Hurtado? All the best 🙏🏽🌿
What inspired you to play this?
I just like the song and wanted to play it on guitar 😂
@SpiritualGuitar_ Dudeeee you have no idea how strange and synchronistic you playing this song was.
Haha this makes me so happy to hear. I’m so glad you found this channel! Are you on the Patreon?
@@SpiritualGuitar_ I am not.... yet. I am a student so you know how that goes haha.
No worries, it’ll be there when you’re ready. Enjoy the student life and thanks for all of the words of encouragement. They mean a lot
This is so strange and so amazing! I love it!
ooh that was nice
I am 55😊 I like your way of teaching very much. Thank you. I am a Pastor from Nagpur, India. nowadays I am learning rh finger patterns. Will be appreciated if you could take any simple rythem Christian song on the pattern you are teaching...
Hi Rajen, thank you for your comment :-) I'm glad you are enjoying the channel. Is there an example of a simple rhythm you can link here? I will try to incorporate it into new videos
can you play this tune on ukelele?
Wow, what a stretch. You wanted a clever segway to your idea but the analogy is just awkward. Don't.
Brilliant! Keep posting
More to come! 🙏🏻
Please keep up the good work. We love your content.
Thank you!

Looking forward to it 🙏🏻
Thank you brother, for your effort and your work, it is incredible that you play these songs for us beginners. If you feel like sharing this other beautiful song with us at some point, Bruno Mansur - Corazón Es Lo único Que Tengo. Greetings from Colombia
Thank you for your kind words 🙏🏻 and thank you for sharing. I have not yet heard this song and will work on it and make a lesson. In the meantime, I have many more on my Patreon if you would like 🙏🏻
This is genius Had to slow down sometimes to really get the picking pattern. Keep going🤙

nice lesson
Thank you 🙏
Beautiful rendition of a great song. Thank you!
Thank you 🙏
Mate, you are a very patient, relaxing and easy to follow teacher. Perfect delivery of something that I wanted to learn.
Thanks, Dave! I appreciate the kind words 🙏
nice one! thanks, good reminder to slow things down and prepare. Also nice to learn a few new ways to play Am and E variations. It's a bit uncomfortable/painful to play the left hand with my pinkie and middle finger 2 frets away. I have small hands. Playing with pinkie and pointer is less painful. I assume it's better to practice stretching out my left hand over time so I have more capabilities? curious your thoughts on that.
Thanks Jeremy! Glad you learned some new variations. I appreciate the feedback...and it depends on the level and style you want to play. For me, playing and enjoying the practice is important so it's okay to play with pinkie and pointer or whichever fingers feel comfortable. If you do want to lay the proper foundation to eventually play more advanced or difficult songs, you'll want to slowly work up the technique and strength in both hands. Check out this channel for in depth left hand technique - in particular how to position and apply pressure with minimal discomfort/pain. I revisit his videos all the time when my technique gets a bit messy ;-) th-cam.com/video/HTjwvwCZmRo/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps!
@@SpiritualGuitar_ very helpful! Much appreciated :)

bro! Thanks for taking the time to do this! I used to take lessons with Rainer and this totally hooked me and made me want to learn it. I’m more into kirtan these days but the medicine music is so beautiful 😻 I don’t see a link to your patreon tho? Plz share. Cheers 🫶🎶
Thanks, Jeremy I'm so glad you got something from this :) No way! What a gift to learn from Rainer himself...he is what drew me into the medicine music 🙏🏻 Thanks for letting me know ! I've linked the tabs in the video description and will link below as well :) www.patreon.com/posts/arbolito-divino-102928568
@@SpiritualGuitar_ cheers bro! thanks for your reply.
