What kind of clay is best?

nice. thanks from all of us other potters who love George Ohr and have tried to do this!

This fellow is a very poor imitator of George Ohr, the "Mad Potter" created pots that were far more refined, smooth in shape and much MUCH thinner walled. I have seen his pieces in person they are phenomenal, and I'm fairly certain i know where to find clay extremely close to the clay Ohr used from the same river where he dug got clay.
