Thank you so much Ma’am
What would we have done without you chief!! Thank you sir!
Thanks so much Doctor. Appreciate your kind words…
Well done dr ola. Pls also add videos on how you got involved in education and sport medicine. Looking forward to future videos
Thanks for your comment doc. I’d look at a series on portfolios generally and the specific ones starting with medical education and sports medicine. Please stay tuned.
What abbreviations did you find most challenging in training?
Portfolio opportunities were a major factor in my decision to become a GP instead of Hospital medicine. In my personal experience, the ability to work in diverse roles-clinical practice, health policy, population health, medical school examiner, and now focusing on finance for doctors-is a blessing I deeply appreciate. Brilliant video. If I had to choose again, I’d still #chooseGP.
Thanks for sharing your personal experience doc. Deeply appreciate.
When I started my GP Training 6 years ago as an IMG, there was so much to learn quickly, and often it was assumed that you knew some of these things - acronyms flying around. One key thing that I found helpful was to ask, ask, ask and ask - I asked questions and didn't assume anything. I found the TPDs and ES to be generally helpful. If in doubt, just ask This is a brilliant video for GP Trainees and anyone thinking of GP Training Thank you for making it
Thanks so much for your very detailed comment doc. Thanks for sharing your own lived experience as well. I think many will find your comment helpful so they understand they’re not alone when going through those moments.

Thank you for your video! Do you have any advice for what doctors new to NHS need to learn or practice before training?
Thanks for your comment doc. There will be a video on what steps to take before resuming.
When is the recommended time to attempt the AKT and SCA exams?
Thanks doc. Ideally AKT is taken in ST2/ST3 but I suggest to take AKT in ST2 and SCA in ST3.
Insightful
Thanks Doctor
Thank you so much for this! Truly the abbreviations are something else 🤣 Everyone is just supposed to know them, and get on with it. Also, asking questions sometimes might be tough especially because we can be self conscious and boarder line insecure starting training in a new place with a totally different culture. GOD Bless you Chief!
Absolutely! Thanks for your kind words doc.
Thank you sir
You are welcome Sir. I appreciate your comment.

Very true! Especially the 5th point!! It annoys me. It is not the easy way out for the not very ambitious or brilliant doctors! Quite the opposite!
Exactly!
