The lady did nothing wrong. But before a police decides to search your bag, police politely request to see his palm before he searches your bag.

The Ghanaian should know the law ,what section of act is he searching her under,random check which appendix it fall under.the Police officer said to her she is refusing but i don't think she was refusing it but rather declining to be search as the officer couldn't even explain it well what the random check is all about.what a full shit show.,All the Officer said was she should knowt what the random check mean.Is this people really train😂😂😂😂😂These are the people they are working for the people.

Random search is comon in Ghana, except you're not always on road, let them search you and just be watchful, the police will always allow you to see whatever they are doing, like before opening your car boot, they always call you to come and stand with them. Can you challenge a police officer in USA?

Oh Black Africans when will we obey the laws.Is it ignorant or disrespect of the law?The police is right to stop and search if he suspects there's something wrong He may be acting on tip off. . All you can do is submit to the investigation and thereafter if not convinced, call your lawyer. Do not challenge or fight the police.

Please you need to use hand gloves when doing random searching. You cannot touching people's items like that.

IDENTITY BADGE Also, according to the law, the police should have identity badge at all times if on duty. The police in uniform without an identity is an offense and in proper intelligence, he or she can not enforce the law. Before a police in uniform approaches you, make sure you confirm the name or identity badge which is supposed to be visibly attached to the chest of the uniform. In most cases, the patrol teams of the police service are culprits of this act. Ask the police politely to identify himself in appearance and state reason for interrogation, it is your right! 3. COURT SEARCH WARRANT Another most regular offense by some police officers in Ghana is searching individuals’ luggage or seizure of phones without having the warrant from the court. In most cases, the police will meet you and randomly make you alight out of a passenger bus and start searching your pockets and bag with no warrant. The police officer can not and should not in any circumstance dip his or her hand into your personal belongings especially your luggage and pocket in this case with or without warrant. Your luggage and phone is your personal property and until court order, it can not be confiscated or in most cases, the police cannot demand to search your phone content. That is offensive! When the police has a court warrant or suspect a criminal activity in his own discretion, you need to calmly assist him search and confirm any form of content you carry. If you resist any form of polite approach by the officer, he would have to justify their forceful action and lawfully reporting you as obstruction of duty of an ongoing criminal activity. So stay calm but point out the limitations of his search. You also have the right to record any interactions with the police, not secretly but informing (not requesting) them the video is meant for your protection or evidence.

Listen , is cause of Africa. If a police ask to search your bag. The best is open camera on him and let him search , as you record all. Refusing doesn't make you wild or anything.
