This channel is first and foremost a place for readers to discover new books (from all genres), interact and connect, and occasionally listen to what I have to say about books I like or don’t like. In any case, I hope this will be a place to come and unwind after a busy day and fill up the empty emotional take, as my mom would like to say.

Love it dude! You can never have enough Sanderson and Jordan. Although I've only read Horowitz' YA stuff, I consider him a GOAT as well
Have you read any Peter Heller!? Let me know. I’d love to chat about it.
Nice to see you :)
Just read a comment you made on Talking Story, thought I'd come here and take a peek. I immediately subbed when you mentioned Blake Crouch. After a few years of not reading (eyesight problems), I went on a buying spree in October this year and, one of the 30 books I purchased was, Dark Matter. It was such a blast that I read Recursion which I have rated my 2024 favourite read. The Pines trilogy is on my radar, ready to purchase with my Waterstones loyalty points. Happy New Year.
@@GrahamDixonUK Hi, welcome to my channel. Thanks for the sub. The Pines trilogy is all I have read thus far from Blake Crouch but I have Dark Matter and Abandon up next. Happy to hear that you are able to get back into reading. Enjoy!
🙏 amen
I’m going to need you to start up 2025 with Beware of Chicken by CasualFarmer next year. It’s pretty amazing!
"These Silent Woods" and "No Exit" have to be added to my TBR! :)
Don't forget to fill out your End of the Year Freakout!
Have really been into podcasts lately and think I should consider dipping my toes into audio books. Some good suggestions here!
Welcome to booktube!
@libraryofaviking Thank you!
I’m glad you found Travis Baldree! Let me introduce you to two of my favorite series that he narrates. Cradle by Will Wight is a cultivation series where the main character is exceptionally weak and yearns to learn how to harness the powers of heaven and earth to protect his home. He is the most dedicated character I have ever read! Beware of Chicken by CasualFarmer is someone being brought into a similar world. He immediately says Nope and heads to the least magical place on the map to farm in peace.
Audiobooks are the only way I have time to “read” lol. Love them!
I love audiobooks but there are times I find myself zoning out and have to go back and re-listen to a chapter.
Yessss I love world war Z!!!! One of my faves!!!
Michael Kramer and Kate Reading are two absolute GOATS. My favorite audiobooks are the Eragon books read by Gerard Doyle
Also I just learned they are married 😅
@@billyhelms I didn't know they were til like a month ago lol.
What is your favorite audiobook?
Legend and Latte's is a fun cozy read!
Defenitly had a lot of hype when it came out but just so fun to read.
@@firstlinelibrary Agreed! It took me a little bit to pick it up but it was actually good
These silent woods sound crazy good!
I loved it. Great for a snowy day.
Have you read Devolution by Max Brooks?
I have! Thoroughly enjoyed it. The audiobook is great as well.
@firstlinelibrary Hell yeah! Can't agree more. Excited to see future videos
I’m glad McCarthy had a mention he’s definitely an underrated author
I think due to the subject matter, most tend to stay away from his work but I find his prose so gripping.
@ I agree my favorite by him is definitely Blood Meridian
Ayyyy glad to see my boy Sanderson made the list. Grats on the channel dude, excited to keep watching!
I have only read the first two in the stormlight archive but Sanderson is just incredible.
@@firstlinelibrary I just finished Oathbringer. I need to read Rhythm of War before December, when Wind and Truth comes out but we'll see if I make it. I don't want rush it!
I have always wanted to read The Name of the Wind. It’s been on my list for awhile. As for a top 10 that might be hard lol. Enders Game Harry Potter series Redwall The Hobbit The BFG Star Wars X-Wing series Ready Player One Stephen King’s It Enders Shadow Armada In no particular order.
Great list, man! I have both Orson Scott Card and Ernest Cline on the list to get to. I love the cover art for the Enders series. John Harris is on of my favorite artists. Even though the series is not finished yet (likely to never be finished) still definitely check out The Name of the Wind.
I’ve read 3 of those. I’m going to need you to check out some litrpg and see what you think!
@@andymurphy4641 nice! I have a few litrpg titles on my kindle. What do you suggest diving into first?
Pumped for this, need some good books to read or listen to!
I am working on a top 10 books list and a top 10 audiobooks list. Hope to give some good recommendations for you Scott!
Awesome! Looking forward to listening to your thoughts on some books.
I wish you the very best for your channel! I'll be curious as to what you'll tell us about your books.
Thank you. Looking forward to sharing.
Lol #sdsinglespacechallnge I’ll be doing mine tomorrow.
Wow! Really great content, keep it up @JordanDavis.
