If the wood subfloor is uneven and not completely level, here’s how I would handle it: 1. Check the structural integrity: First, I make sure the area that's uneven is structurally sound. This means checking for any signs of damage, rot, or weak spots that could cause issues later on. Since wood expands and contracts, it’s important to ensure there’s no movement in the subfloor and that it's solid. 2. Inspect for gaps: Next, I check for any gaps or seams between the wood sections. If I find any, I make sure they are properly filled in before moving forward. The goal is to prevent any material I apply from seeping through those gaps and ensuring the surface is stable. 3. Sand down high spots: If one section of the wood is higher than another, I’ll use a sander to level it out. This will help create a smoother, more even surface before applying the leveling compound. 4. Use a level: After sanding, I use a level to check the floor and mark any areas that will need to be filled with a self-leveling compound. 5. Apply primer: I’ll then apply ARDEX P 51™ Primer at full strength (don’t dilute it!). The primer helps the leveling compound bond to the wood surface. After it's dry, I'm ready to proceed to the next step. 6. Level with ARDEX TL WOOD: Finally, I use ARDEX TL WOOD, a self-leveling underlayment specifically designed for wood subfloors. This compound fills in low spots and helps create a smooth, level surface in preparation for new flooring. By following these steps, you’ll end up with a much more level and stable surface for your new floor!

This one is a 1/8" grout joint which was the manufacturer recommended size for this tile.

For this carpet we could not use the power stretcher because it would've ripped the carpet. This was a rental and the customer purchased very low quality carpet.

This customer used high quality materials on this job so their out the door cost for this job after all plumbing fixtures were installed was $7,800

LOL... yup I agree, the tile is not to today's more modern look. This one is a rental and that tile was cheap. 🙂
