I flew to work for the first time.

Wow is that nice!
nice flying! keep the videos coming 👍
@JimB1 you have a very serious mental health issue Mathew.
i wish you would show your planned route and tell us where you have landed. it helps us understand your journey more.
@alianjohnson6035 ok. If you watch the entire two videos from beginning to end I deescribe the route as Maitland via Denman, to Mudgee, to Condoblin to Lake Cargeligo. But you have to watch the entire 2 videos
You should look into purchasing a collapsible light weight bike for these trips. Light weight easy to assemble!
@281950 been looking. All too heavy unless I want to pay $5000
I with 2 friends did an outback trip of 70 flying hours in a Bonanza F33 back in 1978 had a great time in WA, SA, NSW, QLD ,VIC , NT, back then you could land on the strip right next to Ayres Rock, landed at various outback stations and a couple of beach landings on Frazer Island
Airplane camping, what great fun!
Outstanding, happy flying 👏
Any further news...???...Best regards to you....😀
Show us the inside of the plane.
@dominquepresley583 in a previous video. Make sure you go back.and watch .
Please fly that plane. That would be so cool.
@@dominquepresley583 hopefully on Monday and Tuesday
Ouch. One of my clients just had a $26,000 annual on a 2014 Baron.
$12,000 annual will get you out of flying fast. I had a $15,000 annual for a 1968 Mooney C model the first year, after that I found things that were not done, motor mounts installed wrong and wenches in the engine bay. I said to my self I could do a better job. Got my Dad to look at the work I did which is an A&P and after that an AI signed it off. Major money saved plus I took my time and did a way better job than a mechanic would. Had the plane 7 years never had a problem.
I know I would d a better job than some mechanics, but alas no chance anyone would let me do what you do, here in Oz. I am studying Aeroskills Mechanical and cannot get anyone to agree to let me do the practical as an unpaid volunteer, due to insurance. I have to do an aprenticeship which I will not do at 63 years of age when I run my own businesses
Any luck geting back in the air...???
@@steinrich56new mechanic doing second annual Monday
@@flylikeagirl Many thanks.......I have my fingers Xd for you.
Greetings fom me, a Jabiru pilot with 260 hours total time. I am R A AUS registered, but waiting on the CASA approvals to go through so that I can "upgrade" to a Piper Tomahawk, an aircraft I love, and previously flew some years ago with an instructor. Your experiences are of great interest to me. I have my fingers Xd for you. Kindest regards to you from me in South Australia.
What a saga. Seems like you now may at least have some good help getting things done.
I pray things turn out right. I love the tomahawk, got my pilot license in ‘82 flying 16 tango she was a ‘79 model
My first annual after buy my Piper Arrow was 22K and that was with no airworthy issues found.
That’s why I sold my airplane. I can fly the local 172 75 hours for what I spent on annuals, hangar, and insurance. Not to mention, but oil and avgas are included!
Yes but try taking it away for a week or month. Which is my mission.
The fact that you went to Saavy aviation saved you thousands.
Every owner should use Savvy. Unfortunately, here in Australia, they have nobody on the ground, but they still helped.
I used to 'pray' that the teacher wouldn't collect the homework. Did a lot of good!
I pray you get to keep flying it safely
Parts from Piper will be a problem , eventually perhaps at the next annual you will be grounded for good. Sorry but thats how it is with the PA 38
and every other aircraft of the era
That's a nice plane. A shame you're having trouble with it. 😢 At the last annual the shop borescoped my Musketeer's wings, treated some very minor surface corrosion and declared her good to go. Beechcraft's Service Instruction is aggressive about cutting inspection holes in the wings, but was also written before borescopes were a thing. My Annual From Hell a few years ago involved a factory rebuilt O-320 from Lycoming, plus installation, plus matters arising when you take an old plane that far apart. The final bill wasn't pretty, but she's a whole new plane. ❤
Major $$$?
@andrewlongman8288 spent 12k on annual. Mechanic says need new wings...it doesn't.
I have also had a gob-smacking day. No details, but it has been. So thankful!
During the year 2016, I became interested in learning how to play tennis. I went to a tennis center and realized that I did not possess the endurance to easily run from one side of the tennis court to the other side of the tennis court. I decided that before I enroll in tennis lessons, I would obtain the endurance to easily run from one side of the tennis court to the other side. I decided that before I would enroll in tennis lessons, I would learn how to run for thirty minutes without stopping. I went on a running program to build up my endurance. In high school I went out for track. Going out for track was a disaster. At the time, my training program consisted of running until I became exhausted. That training program lasted for three weeks. I was forced to discontinue track because every muscle and bone in my body hurt. At the time, I was concerned that I would lose my ability to walk. My body forced me to stop the track program. I did not desire to be forced to stop running due to pain this time. I used the following technique which worked for me: 1. Walk around the neighborhood for thirty minutes. At the time, I realized that I could walk around the neighborhood for three hours without stopping. I could only run for thirty seconds without stopping. After thirty seconds, I was out of breath and had to stop running. 2. Run for a minute. 3. Walk home. I ran for only a minute. I continued running for a minute until it became easy to run for a minute. This required three months for me to be able to run for a minute without stopping. When it became easy to run for a minute, I attempted to run for two minutes. Three years later, I was able to run for 25 minutes without stopping. At the time, I decided to enroll in tennis lessons. I enjoyed tennis until the pandemic caused the cancellation of tennis lessons. The key to success is to start with small, achievable goals. My long-term goal was to be able to run thirty minutes without stopping. I broke the goal down into smaller achievable goals. I would work on learning how to run for a minute without stopping. Once I built up the endurance to be able to run easily for a minute without stopping, then worked on running for two minutes without stopping. I wore a digital watch featuring a stop watch feature to track my time walking and running. Break up your goals into smaller goals. Avoid creating goals that are “over the top.” Create achievable goals. Yesterday, I ran for 90 minutes without stopping. I stop running at the 90 minute mark because I have other goals in life to achieve, other than running around the neighborhood. Because I gradually built up the ability to run for 90 minutes, my body feels okay. I have not encountered joint or muscle pain.
Hi Kimberly, new subscriber, you have a fascinating life, very inspiring ☺️
@sm_au thank you
Also a video about how you studied the theory, example for doing weight and balance questions , how you remember theory components
As I mentioned in this video, there is no substitute for doing lots and lots of practice questions, especially the weight and balance ones. Get lots of charts printed for each type of loading system etc and just practice as many as you can. Here in Australia, I used Pilot Practice Exams - link in the description
Thank you so much for this video! ❤
It's a beautiful plane...Maybe just a little underpowered but I loved it :)
They dont wsnt private flights
Similar to help wanted posts everywhere, but not really hiring.
Would you be able to do a video on balancing work and aviation studies,? How you studied ?
@@JacquelineMarie747 great idea
Great title VERY TRUE!
Congrats!!! Hey I just saw TKU in the background of a photo at YBAF a few years ago.
Shut up karen 😂 na i am kidding congratulations 👏🎉
Congratulations Pilot Kimberly. I followed vh-tky on flight tracker for a while, why did you drop bellow 200ft at Richmond Vale? Is there a runway there or was it another manoeuvre?
Just the standard instructor "fails the engine on you." He got me right down to late final on a paddock, making sure I would go through the *simulated* shutdown, mixture to cut off, fuel off, mags off ,masters off.
Hi, nice aircraft. Interested in speed camera alart, what brand model?
VW standard
I think you should go to Hell. Hole Falls. Hell Hole Falls, Mount Jerusalem National Park. Actually I don't know if you can fly in there- I just wanted to make this Dad joke.
Down the south coast would love to fly! And congrats!
Don't forget to like the video = 100 likes target
Live stream would be awesome!
I'll set it up when we get to 1000 subs 🙂

Thank you so much. Just wait until I can fly places :-)
