Only reason I’m looking at this is the barrel twist. Any negatives to going 1:8.5 over most that are 1:9.5?

I have the sporting 12 you can only shoot up to 3.25 dram shells target loads. it has enlarged gas ports to cycle light loads. If you shoot turkey loads you will slam the bolt into the back of the receiver.

They are really nice for shooting. Just opened mine up new in the box and where the eye piece screws in the threads were inside the main body so you could not put the eye piece on . This company obviously has serious quality control issues and they want you to send it in and pay the postage and send a check or money order for there obvious fuck up. So I threw this piece of shit down range and blew the hell out of it with my 44 magnum I STRONGLY RECOMEND TO BUY NOTHING FROM THIS COMPANY CHEAP PLASTIC CRAP.

I bought this here in Australia. Its called an ata turqua down here. Mines a .308. for the price and how it shoots, i love it. Only thing i dont like is the plastic trigger guard.

Question: Is it normal that the locking lug which is mounted over the chamber (slides in the receiver) is loose/can be twisted on the barrel ?

How do you mount scope onto Remington 742? I have one I'm picking up, and it has no scope, no rails.
