Get a player of Hawkins level or better, than folks like me will get over losing him because they would be a sure fire tournament team. This team is young, unproven, and have pieces from losing teams. Get a proven piece, I am less upset about Hawkins leaving.
Big time programs don’t care about recruiting over unproven players. There are two returners. Illinois owes ZERO to the incoming players. Hawkins is the difference between being a shoe in for the NCAA and a bubble team at best.
Big L for Underwood and Illinois for Hawkins playing for someone else. Especially since Hawkins would make a bigger impact on the floor than about any school rumored for him.

Been listening since the tay and jay show on 93.5 for years and years. lon tays voice is legendary especially when he talks about his beer lol love it!!!! Lon tay is my favorite radio host no offense to Derek. ❤❤living in Florida now and a gator but grew up in rantoul Illinois and the fighting Illini when dee brown and darron Williams were playing were amazing days. I was in middle school then lol Illini will always be in my heart but im a gator boy 🐊
