Select a cloth which must absorb the paint. Test it in a corner first, before starting the painting. Some cloths can absorb the paint some are not. Painting will be long lasting if the cloth absorbs the paint. My suggestion is Cotton Silk cloth is not good for painting. Go for Pure or Semi Raw silk, Pure Silk.
