I feel like that is a homage to a scene in "Eye of the World" where Lews Therin Telemon goes mad and breaks the world and kills himself thereby creating a mountain where he died later called "Dragonmount". Later, Lews Therin is known throughout history as Lews Therin "Kinslayer" because in his madness he killed his entire family. Also, the name "Telemon" is the last name of Cid in this game. The creators of this series must be fans of high fantasy genre of books.

@@LASCH_B10 a lot of the people I've seen reporting it have amd cards and it's only this cutscene. All others, even including the one immediately after it work just fine. It's just right as Joshua walks up the dias and starts holding a fireball.
