Growing up we often had family reunions at uncle Carl's in Wren Oregon. Many relatives from Salem, Corvallis, Woodburn, Hubbard, Molalla. Some had doors and windows and house walls or complete additions from Camp Adair when it was torn down. All in the area have (had) stories of that era and Camp Adair but many have passed :-/
I love the sound of a Prat Whitney 9 jug ! I used to drive the loading truck when i was young , I lived that job ' we flew Steerman and had one Thrush way back in the 70 s
Glad you’re still doing what you love Billie!
My home!!
That’s so awesome bill! Miss you buddy!
Sweet I can watch this all day long👍
Very nice video. I love flying RC and I love Gleneden Beach. The air looked much smoother than I expected up at the higher altitude.
LOL I was looking at all the thumbnail photos of your videos on your channel with the nose wheel at center and I thought you were flying a sport plane or something. However the more I looked at them, the more the wheel resembled an RC aircraft wheel. Sure enough, when I clicked on one I see a huge hand in the frame!
glassdogangle Ha ha gotcha!!
Thank you for having only Pratt & Whitney music in this video.
rice?

nice job!!!!
I grew up at Ladd Hill, Oregon in the early 50's and we saw lots of B-29's and B-36's fly over. My parents assumed they came from Camp Adair. Perhaps they came from Kingsley Field, near Klamath Falls. I don't know where they were going; Seattle perhaps.
During WWII The Corvallis Airport had Bomber Aircraft. Also Portland Airbase had Bombers that would fly North and South through Oregon to and from bases in California and Washington State.
I'll have to take my plane there soon. Great video!
Exciting adventure!
