Thank you so much!... I just replaced my ball joints, tie rod, drag link. have a new steering stabilizer on order. Took it to Brake Check (lifetime alignment) to get the alignment done after the ball joints, tie rods, etc... They kept it for almost 2 days saying they were test driving it and for the life of them couldn't get it to stop with the slop. I went over there, picked it up, brought it home, googled the sloppy steering on the JKU, and found your video.... 2 minutes later, all play is gone, and it is rock solid (better than new) I'm at 108k miles on my 2014 JKU and it drives better than new now. I will take it back in for final adjustment on the drag link after replacing the steering stabilizer.

What kinda rear suspension is that? I put a teraflex on mine after I bought it, but I don't remember it looking like that. That looks like my ex girlfriends xterra suspension. Weird

I screwed the screw in half a turn too tight so that the steering wheel is too stiff. After driving a few mails I wanted to turn the screw back a little, but it won't move!! Do you have any tips on what I can do? (The slot of the screw is already very worn).

I've go the two wire setup. Can I use them as blinkers only? I drilled holes into the side of my fenders for them. I grounded the negative (black) wires and spliced the positive (white) into my blinkers yellow wire and it's not working. I'm stumped and frustrated. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

Wow, I've been chasing steering issues on this jeep since I bought it. New drag link end, tie rod, ball joints, alignment... I was still chasing this thing all over the road. Turns out mine was too tight. I backed it off a quarter turn and now my wheel returns to center way sooner, feels way more stable. This was the culprit the entire time.

Damn. I fought with one of the ebrake cable retainers for like 15min lol. Great tip using a flare nut wrench.

You don’t even need to bang the washers off, just knock down the raised collar with a flap disk angle grinder and they fall off. Great video and very useful for my install. Thanks

I have a 2018 JL .. I did a custom hd front bumper and tried 33s w/ no lift .. it worked great... apparently I can put 35 and maybe even 37s with no lift ... but I think I will stick to 33s for now ... because I do a lot of pavement off roading ;-) ..

After putting new tires, upper/ lower ball joints, and hubs/wheel bearings on our 2010 JK we still had wandering all over the road! Ran across this video today, and made about a 1/4 adjustment from 12 o clock to about 2 o clock and it's 99% better. Made several small adjustments as instructed. I was lining up A shop to replace my OEM steering rack! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

Got the Jeep Aligned today. Still wandering. Adjusted the steering box as per this video with amazing results. 2013 JKU 4" lift with 35" tires.

Unfortunately, I couldn't break free my adjuster screw. I'll have to try using two nuts this weekend.

I mounted a FAK, and a “quick and handy” gear to a double rack plate on the wall of my trailer. Packout is pricey, but worth it.

Thank you so much for this! Bought a used 2015 Wrangler JK with 33" tires and 22" wheels and it was wandering quite a bit on the road. I had wheels balanced, alignment, new steering stabilizer and contol arms and it helped slightly but not as much as I would have liked. This fix made a wonderful impact and was simple and free! I only adjusted the screw from its original 2 o'clock position to a 4 o'clock position, very minimal as I was worried of causing issues if I made too much of a change. I'll run it like this for awhile and if necessary make another adjustment.. easy peasy!

I got the retention nut loose but I cannot get that flathead screw to spin AT ALL. Can I hit it with some PB Blaster to break up the rust? I wish they had made it an Allen head like most cars.
