Good luck, you'll do great! It’s up to you, but everybody loves getting their photo taken during fashion week. You can make them feel like a celebrity or model even if they're just a guest. Plus it's a great way to make connections by sending them the photos, or even reaching out to the brands/venue/sponsors of the event and showing them your work.

Thanks for all these tips! Exactly what I was searching for about Miami Swim Week. Really wish I had this knowledge when I shot my second runway show recently. Especially your tip on taking shots earlier before the model starts walking. I did early shots as practice shots, thinking the shots of the models at the front of the stage would be my main shots. Sometimes the shots were ruined by the model no no’s you talked about. So those practice shots ended up being safety shots. Without those, I would have come away with far fewer usable shots. Do you use a monopod or some other rig to help hold your camera? I handheld my camera with a 70-200mm f2.8 lens and my arms were in pain lol 😅 Would also be interested in your homemade electrolyte recipe! 👨🍳
Happy to hear it helped! lol it can be a workout for sure. I use a tripod, but would definitely recommend a monopod or tripod, super helpful for the arms and to steady your shots. I copied LMNT’s recipe and added beetroot powder: 16-32oz water 1/2 tsp salt (1000mg sodium) 1/5tsp (400mg) potassium chloride (200mg potassium) 1/4 tsp magnesium malate (60mg magnesium) 1/2tbsp beetroot powder
