Great video! 👏 If you're looking for a faster way to bridge the two, I'd highly recommend trying BEAM. It directly connects Rhino, Revit, and IFC, making the process smoother and cutting down on the back-and-forth adjustments. Definitely a game-changer for BIM workflows!
Great mam 🎉
Nice video. I was wondering can you use the program FormIt instead of Rhino in the conceptual design process?
Absolutely, any architecture software that works for you can be use as a tool for design concepting. I’m just more familiar with Rhino as a design tool.
I also leave inspired by his art installations. Environmental and art can go by hand.
Glad you enjoyed the video! It's such an inspiring exhibition. I encourage everyone to check it out
Thank you so much. Your explanations are valuable to me. Good to know a museum with a new concept. Like the idea of the plaza from the architect. Great exhibition!
First of all, really nice video! But i think if you'd imrpove the soundquality by using a condensator mic, this could rlly boost the overall quality of your videos!
Mic is all set! Stay tuned for the next video dropping tomorrow.
Great video. Thank you so much. I have an issue however that I have posted on the autodesk forum recently - one that I have found no solution to thus far. In a 3D view in Revit 2025, when using a section box to limit the amount of toposolid (forma derived) something very strange happens. When adjusting the section box crop (using the grips of course) from two of the four cardinal directions (section box has four sides in plan view), these being the south and the west, the imported satellite image draped over the toposolid is literally SHIFTED across the landscape by the same amount that the section box has been moved across the toposolid. This does not occur when adjusting the section box crops from the north or east sides. Only when moving the south crop northward or the west crop eastward. In other words - to me it appears that an origin point specific to the satellite image is located at the southwest corner of said image and that the section box literally MOVES said origin point by however much the section box crop has been moved. The image is only affected when the section box crop begins to touch the 3D toposolid. Pinning or unpinning the toposolid has no effect on this. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I’m not sure I have the answer to your dilemma. I believe this is a software issue that Autodesk needs to address. I hope you are able to find a solution with the Autodesk forum.
@@VERBArchitectureWorkshop Thanks for at least replying to me. So far the autodesk forum has been unhelpful but I will remain vigilant.
I enjoy these videos
The best way to transfer files is Rhino inside Revit for simultaneous design iterations.
amazing video !!!!<3

你好,我想請問一下我步驟都照影片中的製作 但為什麼在REVIT 中沒有出現牆體的預覽 只出現線的預覽(shaded有打開) Hi, wish you have a good week. I was trying to modelling the wall, as the step shown in your video, while it seems like the wall is unable to preview in my Revit but only the line show up. Thank for your answering! Sheep
THANK YOU, PLEASE IF A MAKE ALL MY 3D PROJECT IN RHINO 3D (NOT GRASSHOPPER) AND I WANT TO MAKE THE PLANS AND SECTIONS AND ALL THESE DOCUMENTATIONS IN REVIT, WHICH ITS THE MOST EFFICENT WORKFLOW? THANK YOU AGAIN
It's best to export the Rhino model by element or layer as massing into Revit to build architectural documentation. Check out my other video "How to transfer your Rhino Model to Revit " on how to do this th-cam.com/video/5QV8UBLm2JY/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared hope that helps!
I loved and enjoyed watching the video. As an architect who haven't practiced design alot and trying to get back to architecture design, this video was really organised and thoughtful. Post more please, whether the next steps of the same project or a new one.
Happy to hear! I appreciate the kind words. A new video will be released next week. Stay tuned!
This video has been a huge help to me for using Forma to generate site models. Thank you! One problem that I cannot solve though is how to adjust/apply material to the Forma context buildings. At timestamp 5:39 in this video, where you have selected an individual building, you can see that the Type Properties box (upper left) and the Edit Type options are greyed out. After a lot of trying and asking friends, I can't find a way to edit the Forma buildings materials other than using the paint tool (which would take forever for hundreds of buildings). Even changing materials in Object Styles for all Generic Models has no effect. Do you know of a way to adjust these?
I’m glad the video is helpful! The only way I can think of is to change the material in object style under manage. Check to make sure that in the material you selected, under the graphics tab, you have the “use render appearance” checked. This should change all the materials of the context building depending on the visual style of your view. Hopefully this helps.
definitely need line weights settings to be exportable...
Please help me to understand why you use a "Typical LA residential lot" plan vs the actual project site. Great vid.
Thank you and great question. This project is meant to be submitted to the LA pre-approved standard plan program. I used a typical LA lot as the site rather than having a specific location for the project so the project can be adapted to any LA residential backyard that can have an accessory dwelling unit.
Hi Vlanka, cool name btw! I like your detailed vids, this is my second vid and I like. Do you have experience in MEP also? I would like a place to learn even if purchase such material from someone who explains well as yourself and speaks clean english. Many vids are hard to follow with certain accents unlike yours with clearly spoken english.
Thank you, I’m glad you find my tutorials helpful! Most of my MEP experience is coordinating with consultants.
You're very good. Thank's
Many thanks!
fantastic
Fantastic
Great video! May I know which Ipad/tablet you are using?
Thank you! I use the Ipad Pro 12.9- inch, 4th generation
good job!! I really like your chanel. <3 keep it up. but there is a question that can you draw some thing more complicated in rhino like curvy shape and link it into revit to make details in revit? Then if I want to add more things that revit can't afford to draw, how can I do it? Do i need to import it back to rhino to draw a thing I want which sticks in a certain surface? and then again link it back to revit ??? thank you.
Thank you! Yes, you can model more complicated curvy shapes in Rhino and import into Revit. The best way is to establish a shared origin between Rhino and Revit so that when you model in Rhino it will be placed in the correct position when you upload into Revit. For more detailed info, check out my other video “How to establish a workflow between Rhino and Revit”. Hope that helps.
really cool
Love the way you talk and explain things. Very clear and easily digestible. Thank you !
Thank you!
For the line weights - take into account 'pen' 1 and 2 are used for hatch- and surface patterns.
Great tip, thanks for sharing!
inch :(
wish they were metric also
You are so well explaining How this works.!!! Thanks for you teaching us this helpfull tool.
Thank you for these awesome revit tips. Saved my day. I was printing in 3/8 scale and couldn’t find my plaster lines in the page. Now I know the issue is with the line weights. Thanks for the awesome content. Subscribed!!
Great to hear, so glad it was helpful! Thank you for the support
workflow between rhino and 🐸
It was a very nice explanation, thank you.😀
The roads are at a single level above the land. How can I fix it?
try adjusting the sub-divide height in the properties panel
Nice and informative
Hello, I am new to rhino I tried making a parametric model but I am unable to export in revit (it is exporting as mesh).I am using Rhino 8 and Revit 2021. Please help me with solution to this problem.
Hi, from Rhino export your 3D model in ACIS .sat file. In Revit, component>model in place>insert
@@VERBArchitectureWorkshop Thanks! I tried this already but the rhino file shows error in exporting.
Please keep doing this, as specialty for parametric timber stuff
Excellente vidéo. C'est la première fois de voir une vidéo assez claire sur rhino inside revit. Courage et félicitations. Vous expliquer très bien.
merci beaucoup
How to adjust the elevation of forma site to the house design elevation? Site elevation is like 7350' and house is like 10'-20'.
Hi, if the toposolid from Forma is associated with a level in Revit, you can change that associated level to match the level of the house.
Thank you, please do more with tutorials about workflow between these two programs 🙏 ❤
More to come!
Can you tutor me
