We're quite behind on sharing things around here! The farm has grown considerably since this was recorded. This is from 5-26-24. We are slowly slogging through all the videos we've been recording. In this video we investigate a loud noise that we heard while trying to drink some coffee out on the patio before the littles woke up which then turned into us hanging with the baby chicks out on the ...

Is this in Fla?
Instead of a taller wall, you also could bump out the corner tof the walll/foundation o be taller with some 2x4s and plywood to raise the top of the wall to be a bit higher and difficult to climb onto.
Or you could put your upper wall on a hinge so you can still access/use the wall opening where you have the fan etc.
If you need old 2x4's you can get them from Amish sawmills in the Baldwin/Woodville area. Or find a good reclaimed wood shop.
Good idea! I’ll need to track some down.
Does a bird poop at 43 seconds?
Always
Sounds like a great plan!
Instead of backfilling with sand to level around post, you can try leveling compound, some readymix, or mortar as a bit more easier to keep manure/moisture out.
Maybe need better outdoor speakers so they can listen in.
Pretty sure that the cats are the stars of this channel.
Cute!
Goat Milk !!!! Yummmmm
love you guys
The horizontal roost is better for many reasons aside from just saving space and easier access/cleaning. Tiered roosts will make the birds fight each other for pecking order much more often and stress them out.
That’s good to know. We’ve seen some pecking happening with these horizontal roosts. However I do think that since these birds are new and still figuring out the order it’s to be expected.
Nice video thanks. Chris from England
Thanks Chris!
Very calming
I'm glad you found it calming!
Thank you, Jess for repping the merch. It would be nice to have Kyle increase the promotions on your Merch and other items available on your website and other current and new sales (bacon coming soom?) in every single video along with his rambles. At least until the channel is big enough to be monetized.
That's a great idea!
I watch, and order from, Fish or Price Ranch. One of her videos she said that their feed, hay, consumption usually goes down once they've leveled out on their deficiencies, with the mineral buffet. She also said that many factors will change what they consume the most of, i.e. weather, seasons, kidding, etc. Good video if you look it up. I just started our buffet a few weeks ago, for our does. I was amazed at the copper consumption they took in. I had ran out of CB mineral and their copper consumption went up. Now they have the CB again and their copper consumption went down because they needed the CB. It's very interesting to see. Also, I had one doe that kidded end of Dec. She was loosing hair so badly. Now, with all minerals to choose from, she is already getting her fur back after only a few weeks! Go check out Fish or Price Ranch videos. It's a longer video but, for me, was worth it.
That's awesome! We'll have to check out that video!
Aw lol that little run!
Those haunches especially looking good!
Awwww your family is adorable!
Thank you!!!
One of those five minute jobs that takes thirty
Ha! Absolutely!
Let the sledge do the work, bro. 😂
Haha good point! My body definitely agrees with you! Just can’t help myself
Watch yourself on stairs lol and be mindful in a hurry! I speak from experience 😂
Thank you! He's especially deadly when it is icy out!
@@thewalnuthillfarmwi hahaha I bet! Mine always liked to do this when I'm trying to rush down the hallway in a hurry. Now my dogs do it too🤣
Bro is brake checking
Constantly trying to either get stepped on or break my ankle
What was the point of this?
For insurance proposes
Bro yt shorts are filled with a bunch of tools posting the most useless stupid video's ever... Just press disslike so it doesn't show it to other people and press 'don't recommend this channel' will make it so that it gets shown even less to others.
Good luck. So what is the point? To see what mineral they LIKE the most , or what mineral they NEED the most? "Free choice" usually leads to consuming the tastiest substance. This can lead to overconsumption and disbalance of the elements. Be careful.
Hey! Thanks for your question. The point is to hopefully provide them with minerals that they may not be getting through their diet, which can be deficient in specific minerals dependent on where the feed is from, what it is, etc. Most animals instinctually know what they need and will seek out something specific. This is different with feed, as all animals generally have a scarcity mindset that domestication has yet to satisfy.
@thewalnuthillfarmwi I get it. Just keep in mind, that some minerals are poisonous in large quantities. Free access to excess of purified minerals over time can lead to disbalance and disease.
Good job
Thanks!!
Kitty be thiccc
Thiccasaurus is his nickname
@@thewalnuthillfarmwi definitely the perfect name for it 😂
Suggestion canning funnel then strainer less mess.. also going to try the warm enough to be liquid mix with hot water shake let cool method least with bacon fat

Enjoyed~really epic drone~ 😯
Thanks!!
This is such a cool informational video!
Thanks!!
Just do it outside in a crockpot. You house won't smell.
That’s a good idea! We’ll have to give that a try when it gets a little warmer out.
espero de verdad que no sólo grabes a esos pobres gatitos callejeros si no que también los alimentes y los ayudes a protegerse de el frio🥺🙏
Of course! These cats are like family to us! We feed them, take them to the vet, give them shelter, pet them and love having them around the farm.

Another option is to fill with gravel/limestone can then pour a small amount of concrete (3-4in of readymix) to have a hard surface. Can do with all your gutters and alleys in the barn as you don't use them anymore to get more flat space. As to what your current plan to reuse the wood to move it closer to the alley can run a sill plate on the concrete and not support it from the floor of the pen. The advantage is you can still have a flat feeding/walking area and not hit the wood when you are cleaning out the pen by keeping the wood above out of the moisture.
This is great advice thank you so much! We were thinking of putting the sill plate on the above alley instead of the lower floor so we don’t have any moisture issues and use less lumber. I’m still watching lots of videos on how to create a strong enough footing for the beam. Also the gutters in the middle alley are only like 5 inches deep so I was planning on just using like 3/4” plywood laid on 2x4s.
Find dead animals in the woods all the time. Nothing to freakout about.
I also commonly found very interesting things while out in the woods. However this isn’t the woods and it’s not something we find here all the time. It can be mildly alarming to find when there are free range animals and children about.
Looks really good
Thank you! #happypigsareyummypigs
You chonk?
Who chonk?
My place too. Hard on the animals
Really wishing for some snow. Feels like we’ll be in mud season for the next 6 months!
Ha. What... why?

Good luck.
Thanks! Sounds like we need it.
This is all good stuff, looks like it to me anyway!
