This will end up being one of my most useful videos. Licensing issues can be incredibly frustrating because you don't always know where to look for that information. Rest assured, that's why you've got this channel now! I'll be filling it with useful resources for all CV users regularly.
I work for a Guatemalan company dedicated to the design, manufacturing, and sale of melamine furniture. A year and a half ago, we purchased Cabinet Vision through an official intermediary in Mexico. However, we have been experiencing issues transferring the license from one computer to another. It has been three weeks, and they have not been able to provide the support or solutions we need, nor have we received any response when we call or write to them. Do you know where I could get information? All I have from the Mexican distributors is the “server code” and the email address used for the registration, but we don’t have the password to log into the website. 😪

What CPU did you use for those timed tests?

Spencer- thanks for the video.. I have a problem. Trying to get a new computer set up. I have 2023 on my old computer and working fine. Downloaded 2023 and have entered the server codes but it just sits there and does nothing. I even waited until I got a new email for a new month (I am on the subscription) but it won't
do anything after I hit install with the codes in the boxes. Any ideas? Thanks
Hey buddy! I'd imagine one solution would be to revoke that license again and then hit install again. when in doubt though, just open up a tech support ticket and let one of our techs get everything set up for you. You can access that from the same portal where you for the download link for 23.
Hello! We just switched over and would love to use the snipping tool feature. However, when I drag and drop from the clipboard I get the No Symbol and it doesn't allow it. I have tried dragging and dropping into paper CAD, Drawing CAD, etc and it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions?

We are currently not contracted with tech support, so they probably wont be interested in helping me. We got new computers in our office a few weeks ago, and I am trying to transfer my license to the new computer. I am using Cabinet Vision Version 10, and have the USB key. It keeps giving me an error message when I try to install the key on the new computer using that serial # it shows. My co worker did not have any issues getting his to work. We used the same steps he used and it did not work on mine. New computer uses Windows 11. I did try revoking the license from my old computer and that process worked, but it will not install on the new PC. Any suggestions?

We have CV 11.2 are our license doesn't expire for many years yet. But we need to move the license from one computer that is too slow and old to the new one. However revoking the license doesn't work. It fails every time. Our rep hasn't been able to help us And is mostly trying to convince us to purchase a new subscription..

We just installed the license using issued new license code yesterday by Planit Software after having trouble with encountering this note "licensing failure Error code 9 , contact your reseller", today I encountered power interruption for just less 1 minute, then when I opened Cabinet Vision 2021, this note appeared again and I can't be able to continue my work already, can you tell me what was the causes of this? as this is the 2nd time now. Hoping for your feedback on this issue. Thank you
Hey there! Just go to C:\Cabinet Vision (or Planit)\Common\CLS 2021.0 and run the Licenses(.exe). Make sure the Standalone option with the key number in parentheses has the green check mark and is the active server then click Install License then Next then Next then Next then Finish.
Do you happen to have a post processor file configured for Avid 4x8 in CV?
This is wonderful and perfectly timed for us. New Biesse CNC is waiting to be wired and is raring to go. Love the magnifying cursor, never seen that before. Is this a side hustle for you or do you work for CV? Keep up the good work.

can you usethe network server and access files when you are out in the field on a laptop without the purple key?
Not unless you remoted into a computer that \was open back at the location of the server. if you have a network server, you can use a briefcase mode that allows you to temporarily leave the network which can still give you access to certain jobs though.
