The Calf killer river gets its name from a Cherokee Chief named Chief Calfkiller. Not so weird, right! Joan Roberts, resident
You look like you suffer from mental illness.
Attention Californians! There is a lot of hatred for Californians! Do not move here!
Great place to hike. There are larger falls a little way away up the road from these.😊
Have a safe trip ! We are also moving outside of Chattanooga from California in the next few months. I'm nervous and excited at the same time.
Its the best thing that you can possibly do for yourself! Congratulations!
Looking good, love your brown furry helper .
Beautiful! Can't believe how serene it is , here in CA it'd be packed .
Looks like you're making progress!
Excellent partner 👏 looks very peaceful there.

My home town.
That’s my home town.
Is there a river or lake?
Visited Sparta area a few months ago. From California and looking to get out. We are very conservative and living in California is killing us. We will not move to a place with ho!Alexa tents and bars on windows.
We are as liberal as it gets and just bought a 102 year old Craftsman style home in Sparta. 😂
He is my big helper!😊
What does she mean there was a city square but she didn’t see it. She passed right in front of it pointing out the courthouse.
Thanks for your comment. I appreciate your thoughts, when passing through a new area, one doesnt have a grasp for what one is actually seeing. Hope you will join us on Lund Travels and subscribe. We are trying to get to 100 subscribers by the end of the year..almost there!!
@@lundtravels I grew up in Sparta and lived one block from the city square. The court house was the center on the square but then they cut off the road where you couldn’t circle the the square. I was a teenager during the 60s and our “strip” was circling the square and then driving across town to circle the Dairy Queen which was replaced by Sonic and back again all night. My dad was a highway patrolman in town and back then for me was like Cheers where everybody knew your name.
I grew up here, from 1958 to 1970. My dad was a highway patrolman here as I was growing up, it was like living inside Cheers, where everybody knows your name.
Awesome! Love the puppers running around supervising the work. 🤣🐶❤
So helpful. Thanks
Grew up in Sparta Tennessee move to Arizona in 1992 have been here ever since but sure did enjoy the video
How beautiful!
It really is! A quiet little lake right in town.
So pretty!!!
Sparta is my hometown. Can't imagine living anywhere else. When you said you were on the South side of town you were actually on the East side. When you turned around you were actually heading West instead of East. The main highway is US-70 or Bockman Way aka the million-dollar mile. Back in the 60s someone coined the nickname "Gasoline Ally" because of all the service stations on Bockman Way. You should have visited the White County Museum which is located behind the courthouse on South Main Street. Thank you for posting this video of our great little town.
I grew up in Sparta and just remember it being called the “strip” or the million dollar mile. I graduated in 1969 from white county high school.

Nothing but drug addicts and people having babies and living off the government
Nice video... I grew up here and moved back after my military career. Never dawned on me to think of the no graffiti and bars on windows. The square you're looking for is the 3 sides of the courthouse. Small, simple town, but wish it would grow a little bit, like maybe get a Home Depot. 😁 The name Calfkiller has a story behind it.
Thanks for your comments 🙂. I am loving discovering the world of Tennessee. Look for more on this channel as I wind my way around. Please subscribe.
I lived in Sparta in 1964 - 1965. Only had 1 stoplight then
Great update! Things are coming along! It’s a great home!
I think so too!
Gorgeous park. And what an excellent spokesperson that young man is. ❤️
He was dying to be on camera. And he wanted to do the filming. Thanks for allowing him the opportunity!
The city Square is around the court house. All historical buildings around it. William
We have since been there again and did find the city square. It's so pretty and reminded me of "Back to the Future". Love this little part of the world. Thank you for your comment! Please click the thumbs up and subscribe to our channel.
Does it have a city circle?🤣😂
I bought property in Spencer just south of you. I also love the area. That looks like ground ivy in the yard.
Thank you for your reply. It seems to be EVERYWHERE and grows almost like a bulb, in clumps.
man
Cute little town! ❤
Cute little town. Beautiful setting. What a great place to live!
We agree!
Nothing but drug addicts and people having babies and living off the government That's why I moved my kids out of there as fast as I possibly could
Bad people just like Jennifer.
The area looks amazing! I hope you packed your Ruby slippers! 😜
I hope my Ruby skippers are in the truck that we've been waiting on all day today. Finally got here just now at nearly 6pm.
Dont forget to give this a thumbs up and subscribe!
Laughing so hard at “get rid of stuff”. I feel your pain on that one. Hope you settle in quickly and enjoy your new home! ❤
Right? We now are trying to find places for all of our things and figuring out where it all can go.
Outside of the biggest cities, there aren't any homeless camps in Tennessee.
Yay
Great advice! I hope you post a lot of video on your cruise. Sounds exciting!
Also we have public housing for our homeless. We do everything to help them.
I live in Sparta this is funny. You really missed the special part of the city by not even going to the overlook to look out over the city.
Thanks for watching the video. And thanks for your comment. When a person is just driving through, it's hard to know the best spots.
What a cool town! Tennessee is one place we are considering to live in when we retire from sailing. LOVE the tour. This place is our kind of town.
We just bought a house in Crossville TN. You should check it out.
@@lundtravels Wheres the nearest hospital?
@@thenaftewards4064 There is a hospital in Cookeville about 30 minutes away and also one in Crossville. But there is an urgent care in Sparta.
@@thenaftewards4064 The nearest one that I know of is in Cookeville about 30 miles away. But in Sparta there is an Urgent Care . I also saw the sign that signified a nearby hospital in Sparta, I didn't see the building myself. Please Click the thumbs up on this video and subscribe to our channel. Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for the drive around our town. Hope you enjoyed it. I have a lot of nice drone videos around Sparta. Check them out if you’d like.
Please subscribe to our small but growing channel. I will check out your drone footage!
Nice look around the beach. I can’t imagine why people would be hitting up McDonald’s for lunch though, so much is probably available all around and there are people who’d eat there? bad enough they do at home. Cheers🍻
I agree! Thanks for watching! Please like and subscribe to our channel.
