My wife passed away May 2021 after 51 yrs of marriage and having raised 3 girls and a boy.She was terminally ill I had a hospital bed in our lounge at home with a view outside and it was about 6pm in the evening .I was sat on a chair at her bedside holding her hand and after a deep breath she slipped away peacefully.Listening to Steve Earle singing this great song I can’t help but think I can’t remember if we did say goodbye.It makes me feel reflective and calm now and I am at peace.Thank you.
