Black bear pulling down feeder cable Desktop
มุมมอง 5393 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is a very smart bear! We strung a cable from a tree to our eaves so our bird feeders would be safe from bears. We used a pulley on one of the feeders to make refilling easier. It has been in place for several years without any bears getting to it. This bear noticed the rope, which was tied off to the house about 8 feet up, grabbed the rope, and used it to pull down the cable. Time to figur...

2024 Opossum carrying leaves
มุมมอง 2613 หลายเดือนก่อน
My trail camera captured an opossum carrying leaves with its tail, presumably to use for lining its den. This day, January 17, 2024, was the only day the camera captured leaf carrying.

November 2023 In The Woods
มุมมอง 1.8K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
The woods near our home is full of animals, both predators and prey. They rarely venture onto our road or into our yards, so we don't often see them. But with trail cameras we can get a glimpse into their lives. There was a lot of activity in the woods this past month. This activity included what is likely a black bear's last visit for the year and another visit by a cougar. This cougar appears...
Late September and October in the Woods 2023
มุมมอง 8296 หลายเดือนก่อน
This video is of wildlife in the woods near our home. With the exception of the cougar and deer that I shared in a previous video (th-cam.com/video/qAO7DIiFvSE/w-d-xo.html ), it was a fairly quiet period. There was only one bear sighting, no bobcats, and only a few coyote sightings. Yet there is always something interesting happening in the woods!
Cougar and the deer, October 21, 2023
มุมมอง 1.8K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
In the morning of October 21, 2023 a group of three black-tailed deer traveled down a game trail in the woods near our home. A half hour later a cougar caught their scent and bagan following them. These videos were captured using GardePro A3 and A3S cameras.
Raccoons on the wall Sept 2023
มุมมอง 2178 หลายเดือนก่อน
A number of raccoons, including two families, have enjoyed the bowl of water that we left for them on our back wall during this dry summer. The water also attracted a bear, who was probably more strongly attracted to the bird feeders hanging overhead, well out of reach from the bear. These visits occurred from September 2 to 22, 2023. The camera is a Gardepro E5.
Early September 2023 In the Woods

This video features wildlife in the woods near our home during the period of September 1 to 15, 2023. In addition to the animals you see in the video, you can hear the call of a great horned owl at the beginning of the video. The cameras I used were all Gardepro A3 or A3s.

My guess is Western WA. Looks identical to my stompin grounds...flora and fauna both! Thank you for posting your trailcam vids. I love them...super fascinating.
Thanks, and you’re welcome! And you’re correct, we’re in the Seattle suburbs. This is a pocket of woods with homes a couple hundred feet away in most directions. It’s amazing how many animals are there that we never see!
Fantastic captures of the diversity of wildlife moving past the cameras, definitely enjoyed seeing all the bobcats and bears! Thanks for sharing Enjoyed watching! 👍
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
Love the bobcat! hope i get one, one day. The gardepro looks like a nice camera. thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comment! Yes, that bobcat is amazing and so cute! I'm very happy with the Gardepro cameras. The video is beautiful and they are very affordable.
Nice pictures, very clear. Guess I'll have to check out those Gardepro cameras sure am tired of my fuzzy videos. God Bless. NW ga.
Thanks! For the price I don't think you can do any better than Gardepro, especially when they are on sale. I've used 6 different brands of cameras, and my favorites are Gardepro and Meidase.
@@garys8404 Thanks man I'm gonna try the Gardepro. My old Bushnell are not keeping up and need replaced. My Stealthcam's are doing OK but will be replaced soon also. Appreciate you.
Thought i had it bad with Racoons messing up my camera. they aint got nothing on bears. lol Love the video! keep up the good work.
There are bears that come in my dad's yard in Florida regularly. One is a female who brings cubs up to eat treats from the neighbors. She's not afraid of people at all and lets the cubs be touched. I keep telling dad that it's going to end in tragedy for someone and the bears. He says it's okay. Crazy. Personally I don't want to be within 50 yards of them but I don't live there.
Thanks for your observations. We are lucky here. We have quite a number of black bears living close to people, and in they woods they are not disturbed by the human neighbors. On the video you can hear children playing perhaps 100 feet away. The parents don't know the bear is there and the bear doesn't care that they humans are there. I'm not aware of anyone feeding the bears, at least on purpose. Occasionally the bears do get into bird feeders and garbage, yet they don't cause any problems other than a mess to clean up. For now it is nice that we get to see them once in a while and great that they have some quiet natural habitat where they can get away from people. Hopefully they don't make a habit of destroying cameras!
Aw, wonderful to see this! The Deer are so beautiful! I saw that Bobcat, and a coyote I think? Nice video as usual Gary & Sylvia! Thank you! 👍
Thanks! Yes, there are both bobcats and coyote on this video. Based on the number of spots, we think there are more than one bobcat on this video.
Great picture of the Bobcat best I've seen in a while. What kind of deer are these? We have whitetail here which are smaller bodied... Enjoyed the video. God Bless. NW ga.
Thanks for the comment! These are black-tailed deer, which I think is the only kind of deer we have here in western Washington state.
Bear: “There’s gotta be an option for LOG in here somewhere. They’re gonna need it in post.”
He's a big boy! 😱😮🐻🐾🐾💞👍😊
Thanks for the comment, Erin! Yes, he is a big one. He looks about the same size as the first bear from last year, but does seem thinner. Maybe he got some Ozempic over the winter?
Loved the Black Bear wish i got them where i live. nice variety of animals great video overall. keep up the good work.
Glad you liked it! It's nice having bears in the neighborhood. We always look forward to seeing the first bear in spring!
Thanks! Nice having bears in the neighborhood!
Magnifiques images de cette famille d’ours. Bravo pour cette vidéo et merci pour le partage ! 🤗
1:01 I wasn't expecting that! LOL
Where is this at?
Thanks for asking! We're in Western Washington, in the suburbs roughly 20 miles from Seattle. It's great to see all the animals very close to people's homes!
I was actually brought here by your link on the NextDoor website. I am in North Bothell, kind of bordering Mill Creek. Is this about where this was at? We hear coyotes all the time, have owls, racoons, and red squirrels right behind our back fence. I have also seen quail and evidence of a black bear right next door! @@garys8404
Not sure where you are, but it's absolutely beautiful! 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! We are in the suburbs about 20 miles from Seattle.
@@garys8404 Ahh, nice! I've heard that area's gorgeous. I'm in Minnesota, but not up north where all the wildlife is.
Columbian Blacktail deer, Varied thrush (!), but the opossum means you are on the Mainland. Are you in WA, or southwestern B.C.? Willi B. on V.I.
Nice observations! A lot of people don’t appreciate varied thrushes! We’re in a suburb of Seattle, definitely on the mainland. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Fantastic captures from y’all’s trail cameras, enjoy seeing all the bobcats , bobcat kittens are so cute. Definitely 💯 enjoyed watching. 👍
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Love watching these trail cameras. Never know what will walk past your camera at any time. Used to spend a lot of time in the woods and still like watching the critters but age kinda slows a man down so I mostly get my critters fix from shows like yours. Thanks for your time.. God Bless. NW ga.
Thanks for your kind comment! She is creeping up on me too; maybe more than creeping! It is so interesting seeing all the animals that are living so close to people but that we rarely see. Glad you enjoy it!
Cool vido 😊
Love the video!
Aw, that's adorable!👍 🥰 Thanks for sharing Gary.
Beautiful video 😊 Thanks Gary!💕👍
Wunderschönes Video. Vielen Dank. ❤
I'll subscribe, I like your videos,I've never watched such a different animals. Saddenly there are lots of problems with rakkoons in Europe as an invasive specie
Thanks for the comment. Too bad about the invasive raccoons there in Europe. I suspect they were introduced because they are so cute!
@@garys8404 Yes, but when they get adult, they become aggressive. It is not a good idea as pet.
Very cool. ominous coyotes
Where is this happening , roughly? It got posted as near Cottage Lake in next door.
It's along Freeman Creek, not far from Cottage Lake, in Seattle suburbs.
Great job!
Wonderful video! 👍💖😮 Thank you for sharing Sylvia! 🤗
Wow, quite a menagerie of various critters! So peaceful and beautiful to watch! Thanks for sharing Sylvia! 😊👍🐾🐾❤️
Nice catch
Nice video, Gary! The cams did a great job, are you happy with them? What part of the country are you in? How far were the people from the bear?
Thanks for your comments! I am very happy with the Gardepro A3 and A3s cameras. The video quality is great, they are easy to use and are very efficient from a battery perspective. We are located in the suburbs of Seattle. The people were about 50 yards from the bears and had no idea the bears were there. The bears in our area are very well behaved, are not aggressive toward people. We often have bears walk on our deck and we haven't every had any problems with them.
Thanks, I've been using the Browning trail cams after starting with Moultrie My next one will likely be a Gardepro A3S. I have 1 Moultrie still taking pictures, but the video mode uses batteries too fast. I never would have picked the burbs of Seattle for that location!@@garys8404
Such a great video ! 👏😮😊😍🐾🐾
Thanks, Erin! Always nice to read your comments!
❤😊 beautiful!👏
And the coyotes look nervous! I had a large female deer move through just down the block though, yesterday. Thanks for the heads up and I am so glad we have a catio! LOL, Little Bear cracks me up!
Thanks for your comments! That bear is sure fun to watch!
Thanks for sharing these videos! I love the diverse and plentiful wildlife here in the Pacific Northwest. 🐾
Love it
What a cool view thank you. 🙂
Those young raccoons were having a great time. Love seeing them in the day.
beautiful area. The squirrel is pretty entertaining also.
Great video! Loved the Bob Cat!
That’s some impressive stuff you saw. Where did you build up those cams?
Thanks for the comment! The video was taken in the suburbs of Seattle. I used three Gardepro A3 trail cameras, all placed along the same game trail. The amount of wildlife activity there is certainly amazing!
Wow
I lived there as a kid. I didn't know all these animals were there!
wow nice video ...cheers
As a "new" arrival here in the PNW from Australia, I really appreciate this video as it makes a great way to identify the birds in our area. Thank you Gary for posting it.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video!
