Ya, it's definitely not the next, but will end as a top 3 set in the SV era and be very pricey IMO. I can see booster bundles getting to $50 really soon if there isn't a big reprint

You still can! Plenty of sites out there to buy Booster Boxes around $100 or a case at or slightly below $600

Ofcourse it is no one can say a set is going to be the next evolving skies before it’s come out fact is it could be a really over hyped set and flop or it could be the next evolving skies but you can say that about any set that has come out fact is twilight mascorade is the only set that has changed the sv era as people switched from swsh to sv but yeah no one on this planet can confirm this is going to be evolving skies that is the number 1 set in swsh and with the rocket set and all the other sets comming out can’t see it being evolving skies think will do well but really hyped up tbh

Althought Evo Skies wasn't scarce, it's "scarce" in the sense where so many people want it still, and there isn't enough demand, which is why it's so expensive. So althought scarcity does play a huge factor in price, demand has to be there too. SWSH base set is scarce, but not a lot of demand, which is why it's still less than half the price of Evo Skies.

@@RichPokePicks I don't think you understood what I tried to explain to you unless a set drops which has tons of bangers like evo skies it won't be an evo skies tier set....this set has already had most of the set leaked and it's confirmed not evo skies tier...more so worse than fusion strike considering nothing shown in the set is gengar/espeon tier....

@@restockshock2710 I hear you now. that's fair. I'd say overall, better than fusion strike because it has much better art and more than just 2-3 good cards, but we still have potential with the pikachu set. The Pilachu should be a chase no matter what, but we'll see.

@@RichPokePicks yea bro I don't personally see it being better just cause more collectors prefer quality over quantity that's another reason why the grading market even exists...that's another tangent altogether)there isn't anything in the surging sparks set on same tier as gengar from fusion strike....it's not realistic especially since alot of collectors think the latias sir is botched artwork and latios IR looks better it's a missed opportunity both should have been SIR....I digress I personally don't see anything that I would actively chase personally in the surging sparks set...yea there's some cards I want to have but nothing on the I must have radar"...but who knows maybe latias/latios blow up like karp but even then it's still meh....i don't see anything 300+ in value in that set

I hope so. My only fear is that we over hype it in our heads and it doesn't live to our expectation. Really hope the pokemon company goes all in with that set.

Latias and Latios. You have to remember that evolving skies still hasn’t proven to be a tag team. Plus the Lilly and a pikachu. If they didn’t take Magneton out of the set and put it in the etb who knows what would have happened. Lots of cards to still be revealed. Also it only took a Greninja to make Twilight Masquerade blow up. And that card is sitting higher than almost every card in evoking skies

@@jacobbuck1913lol you must be new. In two years that greninja will be lower than the top 7-10 evolving skies cards. Look what happened to rainbow pikachu in vivid voltage. Thats what will happen to greninja when better sets come out. Watch.

@@dflo.fitness8882 lol I was here in 1999. The fact that you don’t know the power of Greninja makes me think you must be new lol. That card has gained in value faster than anything in sword and shield except maybe the umbreon vmax alt art. Vivid voltage was way way overprinted which is why a booster for VV is the same price as Paldea evolved booster box. Not to mention the only thing VV had was a RAINBOW skin of a chunky pikachu. Are you really saying that you would prefer a RAINBOW skin of a pikachu card to a special illustration rare version? Then once we have that add on a latias and latios connecting card which is what helped make team up so popular and the magneton drawn by the same artist as the LO giratina and the PE magikarp. Then on top of that Lily ?

@@dflo.fitness8882 My thinking with the Pikachu is that it tanked because it had no support in the set. Evolving skies kept blowing up because it had A LOT of cards to support the moonbreon. To me, Twilight Masquerade is like Lost Origin where one set carries it.

I agree to a lot of your points! The cheapness of SIRs does take away from the excitement of pulling it. This is coming from someone that has pulled the Spidops EX SIR twice 😭 luckily just from single packs and not a booster box.

yea I agree but I feel that way anyway why spend thousands on trying to pull a 200$ card or whatever makes more sense to just keep stuff sealed and buy singles

Agree somewhat. I try to master a lot of sets, so it's nice to not have to send $1k+ to do so, but if you're ripping open packs, it's a bummer to know that even if you open a booster box and get the #1 chase card of the set, you still won't get your money back in a lot of SV sets right now.
