    Midazolam works the opposite on me. I go straight into a panic attack when I've had it. Absolutely HATE it and the way it makes me feel. I've been put under 6 times and I tell each Anesthesiologist about my issue with it but they've never listened to me and blow me off. Don't know if they seem to think I'm exaggerating but they just say "You'll be fine" and then push it into me anyway. I start freaking out with everyone telling me to "relax" and I just can't. I'm all over the bed. Can't lay still. Pulling at my IVs. I've come up off the operating table when they pushed the Propofol in because I was in a total panic state. I remember 3-4 nurses lunging at my to hold my down. Woke up with emergence delirium once and they had to tie me down to the bed. Lasted several hours before I came back to understanding where I was and why I was there. Was suppose to go home that day but was held overnight after that incident. I understand why Midazolam is used but I don't react well to it and what makes me very angry is when I'm not taken seriously when I tell the Drs what's going to happen if they give it to me. Because it's happened several times it has caused me a hatred and distrust towards Anesthesiologists.

    Horrible stuff that's used for dental sedation in the UK. It's very unsafe and unpredictable, yet dentists and the medical profession tell the public it's the best thing since sliced bread. As you say, it decreases breathing and blood pressure, making it extremely dangerous for patients who are prone to conditions like Vasovagal Syncopy, and who are likely to have that triggered by things like needles and local anaesthetics, where they will then have further decreases in breathing, blood pressure, and oxygenation caused by the Vasovagal response. This can lead to Asystole and death.

    • @dharkbizkit
      @dharkbizkit หลายเดือนก่อน

      so then, propofol would be the better choice?

    • @jivebunny3765

    02, IV, fluid challenge, push dose pressor, 12 lead, to confirm the second degree type 1 be careful with atropine, pacing, be careful with pain meds with pacing, wouldn't use🎉 ketamine due to complications with cardiac, and if the pt can't maintain an airway, intubation and half doses of the rsi meds, and keep the pt comfortable

    That was helpful, and for an OSCE, it would ensure uniformity. So, I'm guessing the AI could base your simulation as a baseline and allow for independent assessment of students; I would love to explore simulation technology further, and I believe that simulation done well leads to excellence in real life. Also, that was a realistic time scale. Can I ask how you simulated the monitor? Was that an app? With the advent of AI combined with high-fidelity training manikins, we could have excellent ongoing training for the paramedic industry. I would love to discuss your thoughts on this, and it's also lovely to see the positive utilisation of AI
