You are killing yourself to see who is the toughest on the fireground --- work smarter not harder to accomplish what should be quick task assignments!!!! Not trying to be armchair quarterbacking just trying to communicate 40 years of experience with most in a career department as captain.

I volunteered for 5 months at Ground Zero when I was 20 years old, and there hasn’t been a single day in my life that I don’t remember the horrors I witnessed in that place. I recall, during the first weeks, how the victims’ families would approach us with a photo, asking if we had found their loved one, and having to tell them ‘no’ was overwhelming.

I served 4 weeks there pulling guard duty 8 hours on and had 8hours off with rotating our National Guard Units, it wasn't a pleasent site to see.

Isn’t this fucking crazy. That’s my brother trying to do more work than the fire department themselves. He’s the one using the garden hose (-cough cough , ONLY HOSE!!) to try and get it out. Smfh lost all memories of 30 years because of negligence Why even bother showing up ?? What would you say this is ?? Btw they were trying to detain him because he wasn’t giving up tryna get it out!!

It is tough to argue for cancer presumption legislation when you are not wearing your mask inside the building.

Large diameter supply lines and master streams should have been deployed first, before even trying to stretch hand lines. Would have saved a lot of time.
