Onboard BMW 116 Trophy Oulton Park WET Race start 2020
Race start and first laps onboard of the last race of the 2020 season 750mc BMW 116 trophy. It was VERY wet and slippy, especially during qualifying and the first 20min of the race.
We qualified quite badly (24th/27cars) and race was not an improvement. The first few laps are ok, but then I have an off, the red got in me and started driving poorly. We finished the race 21st so not a great result.
And yes! he hit me twice! Cutting me off completely.
Next year more and better! :)

FMS Easy Trainer RTF Tx issues
มุมมอง 3213 ปีที่แล้ว
Here is the problem we found when building the FMS Easy Trainer ready to fly (RTF) version. The ailerons and tail were very erratic and sometimes completely random, independent of stick movement. We ended up building the plane with a Flysky i-6X as the provided radio in the RTF kit was un-useable. The rest of the plane was fine and flew quite well. A bit too tail heavy with the 2S 1300mAh batte...

Trick to keep your bolts labeled n2

It is especially useful when doing restoration projects that take a long time so you will probably have forgotten where each bolt went when you come back to it. Runflat VS Normal Tyres Mini Cooper

Plus they are a pain to put on and off the rim, I even broke the tyre fitting tool. Muuch better ride quality with the standard tyres. So especially if you have a bmw or a mini... Give it a try!

    I have been using multiple lipo chargers on car batteries for years. They work great in a pinch. Never been able to get even a fully depleted 850cca car battery to take close to 10a... Normally they like to charge at around 6 amps even though my charger is capable of 15amps per channel. But it works and you dont need to buy a car battery charger unless you have stuff in storage or setting for a long while.

    About to change the tyres on our Mini, saw your video and you experience says a lot. The only benefit of these RFT`s is that you can drive safely to a tyre center or to your nearest destination. that feeling is nice, but yes the RFT`s a really harsh to drive. and if you live somewhere where the roads are not great then it`s a challange. I also read that most of available`s RFT`s not great in (Hydro) Aquaplaning so will consider Normal tyres after seen your vid.

    Thanks for this. I need some help with a car starting issue. How do I know when the battery is done charging? My car isn't starting so I used My B6 lipo charger to charge a Pb battery 72 Ah 12V (6 A setting at Pb battery) for two hours and the feeding current changed from 4.6 A to 0.7 A so I guessed that the battery was strong enough to test starting the car. The charger should show “End” or “Full” depending on what charger you have. The fact that it went from 4.6A to 0.7A is a good sign. Means that the charger thinks the battery is close to full. When you tried on the car, was the car cranking normally and fast? If not, it could be a bad battery that is struggling to release amps

I would never drive on a run flat tyre anyway, as driving on them completely destroys the tyre, so even if the original puncture was repairable, after running on the run flat the tyre will be destroyed and not possible to be repaired. Meaning that a puncture will always be very expensive.

Thank you!

    • @aser2429
      @aser2429 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the late reply! When it shows as circuit brake, it is usually because the internal resistance of the battery is very high which usually means a dead battery. You can sometimes get lucky trying to charge with NiMh setting on the charger for 15-30min to try to wake the battery up, and then switch to Pb setting (although if its very dead it will not work). You do that at your own risk though, and please make sure you are monitoring the battery during the hole of that time, making sure it doesn’t get hot. Etc

      If you do a voltage check and a resistance check on your battery what does the charger tell you? If your battery is damaged with very high internal resistance sometimes the charger will not want to do anything. You could try charging at a lower voltage for a bit, or charge using Nimh mode for a bit until the voltage bumps up. But do monitor the battery closely during this time and do not leave unattended.

    If that battery you had here was dead or almost dead how long would it take to charge at the rate you used to charge it here?

    • @joeynuggetz
      @joeynuggetz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it was dead it would never charge setting the charger to 12 volts. The charger would throw a low voltage warning which sucks. I jumped my batters with a lipo battery for a few seconds until it had enough juice so that the battery tender detected some voltage and started charging. Since its only at 6 volts after sitting for 12 hours I tried to use my 4 button charger but setting it to 10 volts gives a low voltage warning so the battery has to me near the target voltage for it to work. So if I charged it to 10 volts and then set the charger to 12 volts it complains with a low voltage error so this is kind of useless for folks trying to resurrect a dead battery. I wonder if any of the other modes would work.

    • @aser2429
      @aser2429 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a very good point you make there @MrJoe. I am always a bit scared with jumping a battery with a lipo, as depending on the capability of the lipo the charge/diacharge rate could be massive (some LiPos can give 100A!!!). But your thinking is correct, try to connect some form of battery to “wake it up” before going into charge mode. What sometimes works (not always) is putting the charger in NiMh mode at a low voltage to try to wake the battery up for 15-30min and then swap over to Pb (although keep monitoring that battery during that time).

    • @aser2429
      @aser2429 2 ปีที่แล้ว
