Thanks a lot for this video bro. You are very appreciated. This video helped me out a lot. Saved me so much money. My only problem was that my AC drain is a tad bit bigger so I had to get a 1/2 inch splitter and squeeze it into the 3/8 inch hose other than that it drains great! 🫡

Here is another fix for those who have lots of time and/or want to be less invasive in fear of breaking things because that's always what happens. Pop off the A pillar covers to expose the drainage tube. Be careful prying around the airbag cords. Open the sunroof. Lay towels along the doorline and seat. Get a condiment type squirt bottle or turkey baster or something similar. On the left or right of the forward part of the sunroof tray squirt a pure cleaner into the corners. I've used vinegar but the smell stays forever so this time Dawn Heavy Duty Degreaser. The more clogged the better, slowly squirt it in until you see the tube fill. Squeeze and work the tube to loosen the gunk until it drains. Wait a bit for the solvent to work and then slowly flush with hot water until it stops dripping internally. Order a new sunroof gasket if you have the money, if you dont then mask off the gasket and seal it with gasket seal or liquid tape.

Just finished this repair thank you so much! The AC line is 1/2 inch so needed to use a 1/2x1/2x1/2 tee for that one and squeezed the 3/8 line on to that tee since the store didn’t have a 1/2x1/2x3/8. Had to use a couple of slightly different routes down from the A pillar because the hole was too small in my car (2012 g37x)

My husband just got done doing this on his 07 g35 sedan. Only problem was that the AC drain hose was 1/2 not 3/8. If this is the case make sure to get a 1/2 x 3/8 x 1/2 t barb fitting so it’ll fit into the new hose. He had to run around trying different stores looking for the exact fitting. Amazon also has it if you can’t find it in store. Other than that, thank you for this helpful video!

Very useful information. Just used your video to do a similar fix to my 2017 QX50. The sunroof leak was driving me insane!

could you not just make a dedicated oil system for the turbo? separate from the engine system entirely. would be cleaner oil. could be temp controlled so it would cooler the turbo after engine shutdown

Thank you! 08 g35x. Saved me hundreds. $25 in parts.. Used clear tubes, only ones available. and 2 t barb connectors at the ac hose, like someone suggested. Took an hour and forty five. So far no interior leaks, after testing.

Do not do what he says in the video he's completely wrong. I have a 2012 g37 and this happened to me. I have the right way and best way and he made ot way more difficult that you'd want to do. Reply to het the right answers

I fixed the front passenger side leak and now I have a rear passenger side leak with what seems like water coming in from under the rear window. Could the water be coming from frameless window rubber seals?

Thanks, man. *believe* this is what friend my BCM but I never had the wetness in the passenger side. It seems that after a long week of rain, my instrument cluster just went out, where I can't control the radio, AC, etc. I have no display either. What I did find, is my rear spare tire area is FILLED with water. Like 2-3 inches. I don't get this. I think I'll do the new drains just to be safe but what could it mean if it's not wet on the inside passenger but the rear is filled and my cluster just stopped after a storm. Hell this car went through Hurricane Irma here in Florida and it was fine, but all of a sudden on a rainy week, it just goes out?! Any advice? Thanks for the video, super helpful.

PSA The A/C drain hose (1/2" ID) is a different diameter than the sun roof drains (3/8" ID) hence he used actual clamps and not zip ties there. I tried this setup and it's still leaking, not from the sun roof section but from the A/C section. Maybe the flow restriction there is an issue causing condensation to build up (Houston summer humidity) resulting in water in the floor panel wells, not sure. Any thoughts? To clarify, water runs and drains if you spray on top like the video with the car off, but when running there seems to be an issue with the A/C line section.
