It’s all about muscle memory because I started on tables and then started using controllers. It takes a moment to get back in the swing when using my tables after using my controller for so long.

The hardest thing about requests is saying No when there are no clean versions available and the parents come and yell at you because they Don’t know what their kids are listening to I’ve never seen parents scramble to get to my booth so fast when I got tired of being yelled at for not playing a certain song all night. 😂 I now have a disclaimer in my contract outlining why certain songs can’t be played.

Turntables are for the real mofos! Controllers feel like shit! 💩

Respect! I have Techs, PLXs, Rane and Pioneer mixers (new ones), like 3 different controllers, CDJs and so much more. I don’t really get shit from DJs other than they think I’m a show off, but I’ve been made fun of by normal people for whatever set up I bring to a gig, and they don’t know what I have or who I am sometimes, but that shit really hurts. I have a family literally talk shit time for using tables at their gig, and I was like, really? This is the Ferrari of set ups and you’re talking bad about me? To me I was like they people aren’t anything to you and you know this is more than their car, but I would be lying if I said it didn’t effect me, shit now, I don’t even entertain anything that I’m not making 1k after cost because I hook them up for a few hundred, like 700 of something in in about 2010… but that change my way of thinking fornlife

Yes I agree as far as Turntables go but I do have the Rev 7 when you bring turntables to a gig people do sit up and take notice.

Chefs is great. Mike and his wife are great. I love the floors in that place. Even the kitchen is pretty elegant for it being a kitchen. lol But the ceilings are super low and the dance floor is a little to small.

I barely use long audio cables and power cables cuz the speakers I use are wireless, so I barely use tape. Hate un tapping at the end of the gig. Faster set up

It really does not matter what you use, I can tell you because I been spinning from before the sl1200 existed. It is about what you like and if you can make your dream come true, you can buy whatever you like to spin whether it be controllers or turntables, or in some cases both.

Great tips DJ ! Question: If i'm using a nice facade do I still need to use a table cover? I use a regular 6ft. fold out table and you can't even see it with the facade in front of it. Peace out !

He's right on point. 👍 I disagree only on several topics. 1. New generation djs are lazy want everything easy. 2. Taking 2 hvy bulky turntables to every event. Not practical anymore. 3. Client's don't really care what equipment you are using. As long as the music selection is great, professional set up, excellent sound. But hey bro if your t-tables system keeps bringing in all the cash money... 💰 That's all that matters, lol. 😁 Excellent video.👌 Thanks for sharing. 👍
