I can't play online on my Xbox series, when I click on multiplayer mode, the screen goes black and the game pass appears. What can I do to play online?

Do you normally play online for other Xbox games? It may be asking you to buy the monthly plan to access the online multiplayer - I game share and have this issue when I use my Series S but instead it asks me to buy the game (thinks I do not own it) so it may be issue with Xbox monthly plan. IF YOU PAID monthly plan already, MW19 tends to glitch and many times I have deleted and had to install back both Xbox Series and PS4 so *you can always try to delete and install the game again, even if it is annoying, trust me!*

But what monthly plan are you talking about? Is it the game pass? If so, I pay for the game pass core, does that work?

Yes the monthly pass would be GamePass and Core works for online multiplayer but MW19 has been broken on purpose so people do not install it (many companies want you to buy the newest games) so *my advice would be to delete and install again, even if it's annoying or long download* because many times I have issues on PS4 and Xbox Series S/X and have deleted and installed like 10 times already!
