Great Aussie Drives
Australia
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 30 ธ.ค. 2017
High quality timelapse videos of Australian roads, with a particular focus on my home state of New South Wales. Latest videos in 4K resolution. I have a passion for driving and sharing this country's incredible road network, from city streets to motorways to winding country roads. I hope you enjoy watching my videos as much as I do recording and editing them.

Was a much better view 40 yrs old.
Nice racetrack - I went there 2x
17:05 Note how there is old bridges on southbound, but a new bridge on northbound The reason for this is because the Iluka to Woodburn section still utilises the old bridges. Another example of new and old bridges can be found here 21:00
Great video. Wish my car would go that fast.
This is a Timelapse…
@@Faz7329 I knew I should have put a smiley at the end. 😀 I have the same dash cam. How have you got yours set up?
@@peterseager6738Yes actually, I do have a dash cam
Another awesome video! I've done that same drive around Mt Panorama, it's definitely a great experience and is a lot steeper (and narrower in places) than it looks on TV!
At the top they go over 200 km an hour
Great drive! How would you compare Hazara Motorway (M-15) in Pakistan to Pacific Motorway (M1) formerly known as the F3? Here's the full drive: th-cam.com/video/efYtAyVV7H0/w-d-xo.html
That's some pretty impressive road infrastructure!
Thanks for sharing , I was wondering what that road was like to drive towing a van and it looks good . thank you
G'day mate! I absolutely enjoyed this video! Another wonderful drive with the amazing scenery! Thank you for sharing the spectacular drive with us! I am looking forward to your next adventure! Enjoy your day! Kind regards, George
Thanks for the continued support, means a lot!
@@GreatAussieDrives You are very welcome mate!
I think the whole A3 should be motorway and connect onto Wollongong
Nice seeing this drive again! I can't say I like what they've done to the look of Medlow bath and stretch between Mount Victoria and Lithgow though, they've destroyed everything.
The thumbnail looks like when you are driving on a racing track.
Technically I was 😂
Nice that you started from where I live! YAY 😁
Nice, and you made it through Blackheath without a jam. Well done! At 35:53 a modest sign on the left side marks Yetholme Crest, at 1180m the highest point on the Great Western Hwy. Mt Lambie is just a fraction lower. Great spots for winter ice 🤯
Yeah this was definitely one of the less busy runs through the mountains!
I've since refilmed this route with a new 4K dashcam and much better editing and camera positioning. Check it out here: th-cam.com/video/M2wB5x2oNQw/w-d-xo.html
Did the Bega - Cooma drive over the school hols. Absolutely fantastic. Roadworks over the range slowed us right down but once on the plain the scenery was stunning. Recommend that drive to anyone 😁
You had a brief nod to the Hydro Majestic at about 18.21. As a mildly interesting Australian history fact, Edmund Barton was staying there when he passed away in his sleep on 1920.
Would love to see more Blue Mountains
a nice video like always
Can you do a Liverpool CBD to Blacktown (via western/quieter suburbs and no highways besides the A44) video? Love all your videos, btw!
You’re not gonna believe me but I have met the first singer you have on your video, Dan Davidson! He was one of the headliners at this year’s Stock Route Music Festival in Dubbo back in April
Oh that's awesome! Definitely something worth checking out next year
What time of day and week did you do this drive? Also how long did it actually take?
Beverly Hills Cop Soundtrack....Stir it up Great song
I presume it's Epping Victoria, not NSW.
I drove this stretch of road nearly 3 years ago. I started in Toowoomba at 3am and watched the most epic sunrise somewhere near Byron. The drive home was worse. My feet swelled and I couldn’t pull off the road until Blacksoil near Ipswich.
What a joke the A34 is.. three, to two, to ONE off-peak lane each way? And the next year will be even worse with all the city commuters giving the🖕 to the💖🚌 and driving instead!
When travelling on the Old Pacific Highway before the new one, when you were so many miles from Gosford and getting closer it was known as the Gosford bends.
Did this drive 100 times when i was young...including the Warbuton Highway to Mount Victoria...Such a wonderful Drive in my old car...Cheers !
From the 19th September 2024, the speed limit on approach to Bomaderry/Nowra between the Hanigans Lane (22:02) to the Princes Highway (23:04) has been dropped from 60km/h to 50km/h.
I'd like to see a drive from Sydney to Gundagai using the quickest way possible.
“7:30 The speed limit is 100 km/hr. A bit low IMHO.” Heh, In my experience only “Volvo drivers” stick to the speed limit. I love the Golden Highway:)
Request: Albury to Canberra
A traditional family stop on the way to Queensland was always the Shell Roadhouse in Murrurundi. It’s now a BP.
At 15:52, Neath, its delightful pub, and a nearby surf beach!
Must remind the authority to replace the plastic upright bollards at the emergency services U Turn bays.
I lived and worked in Traralgon for decades and the Pakenham area was home for decades as a kid and young adult - so the entire drive from start to finish was very familiar.
What dash cam do you use
This video was filmed with a Viofo A129 Pro
Alright thanks
Whao, ... Absolutely Wonderful! Thank you so much for the ride along. Wonderful blue skies and vast open landscapes. Greetings from the far side of the world..... Ireland!
Great news! The videos that went unavailable on your channel that has SESAC content, including this video is now restored yesterday! TH-cam and SESAC has reached a deal. Only took 2 days during the video that were unplayable.
Yeah I've heard, glad that a deal was able to be reached so quickly!
G day Australia
I arrive and depart internationally a couple of times a year. I approach from Newcastle North Connex via tunnel and around the south of the airport. It is so nice to see your video... this is going to be helpful. Thank you.
Just heads up, your recent uploaded video titled "Driving from Cooma to Bombala & Bega - Monaro Highway Pt 2, Snowy Mountains Highway [4K]" has this error messages that states: "Video unavailable - This video contains content from SESAC. It is not available in your country." And some other video on your channel also went unavailable as well. This is due to dispute between TH-cam and SESAC.
Thanks for the heads up mate. This block appears to only be affecting users in the United States (though Americans do make up the 2nd-highest portion of my viewerbase after Aussies). Given the huge implications this has on both TH-cam and SESAC artists, I expect a deal to be reached in the coming days, a few weeks at most. And then all should be back to normal!
Seeing things like this makes me wish I had a drivers licence. I just love road trips. My idea of a road trip is to just get in a car and drive in no particular direction and stop at places which no one has ever heard of.
Nice look at somewhere in NSW I've never seen on TH-cam or in real life!
Nice drive. Drove unexpectedly up Browns Mountain in 2019 enroute from Eden to Ulladulla, via Cooma and Nerriga, because the Princes Hwy was cut by fires both north and south of Batemans Bay. Oh and a plug for Bega peanut butter, whose peanuts come from our home town Kingaroy, and are stored in the Bega silos here! They also own the vegemite brand now :)
Splendid video I didn’t get video car sick once.
I had a vehicle tailgate us along here, slowed and they wouldn't pass. I pulled over to get rid of them.
Thank you for introducing me to Ingrid Andress.
As someone who lives in the us, the lanes being switched here is so trippy, but cool!
G'day mate! Thank you very much for another spectacular drive! I absolutely enjoyed the wonderful, scenic and picturesque rolling fields and the amazing trees when you were descending through the Great Dividing Range! I have never seen the drive from Cooma to Bombala and Bega before, so it definitely was an amazing experience watching this amazing, stunning and scenic country drive! Moreover, I also really enjoyed your choice of country soundtrack! It definitely suited this scenic drive! Thank you very much for the video mate! I am looking forward to your next adventurous driving video! Enjoy your day! 🙂🙂🙂 Kind regards, George
Thanks for the support mate, much appreciated!
@@GreatAussieDrives No worries mate! Enjoy your day! Kind regards, George
