Aliens (1986) written and directed by Jame Cameron, was one of the best sequels of all-time. It was different, and arguably better than Alien (1979)
also Pearl, the second of the X trilogy is arguably the best of those three movies.
what is it with grown women and horror movies?! Don't stick to the gutter of horror. Watch some Atarashii Gakko! some bad comicbook movies, some Netflix sh*t. I realize it is the golden age of horror, in movies and in real life, but watch a funny, or romantic movie once in a while. Watch The Wild Robot, watch something heartwarming, or life affirming. 😁😇😉 Vote Kamala!
In all seriousness. Warriors the Concept Album by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis just dropped, watch the cult classic action flick The Warriors. 1979.
Spooky season had us watching all the scary 👻👻 but the next one we’ll be talking about is going to be a lot different! Well the one after today’s upload lolol thanks for the recommendation and still sticking with us during our spooky phase 🎃

I saw the TV glow was the biggest piece of crap I’ve seen in a long time. I am not trans nor non-Binary so not the primary audience at all. I’ve heard the movie resonates with them so if it spoke to you on that level I am very glad. But To me it was just a bunch of very boring but beautifully shot scenes tied together by a very loose plot that culminated in absolutely nothing
It’s a very art first, story later type of film lolol it looked gorgeous but was it horror??? Also, I think people were able to resonate with it on different levels. Was there a horror movie that you liked from this year?
@@hayleyandkayli4713 haha I have to agree it was an absolutely gorgeous movie, but 100% not horror at all. At best it had some creepy vibes but I would say it’s more a slice-of-life or coming-of-age film than anything. late night with the devil was very good & speak no evil was pretty good as well. Overall though in my opinion 2024 just hasn’t been a very good year for horror. Hopefully smile 2 proves me wrong tho! I haven’t seen it yet:/
Loved Late Night! Did you see the original Speak No Evil before watching the remake?? There’s some gems that I’ve heard about like Strange Darling and the Substance, but haven’t had a chance to see. We may have a video about Smile 2 coming out soon!
Love your vibes 🔥💞

"How does the egg get all the way up there?" Million dollar question. Maybe the Cuckoo Woman's hand is preturnatural and can get REALLY skinny so it can slide into tight spaces or something? Or as you said, maybe the egg is able to migrate from the human woman's vagina all the way up to her uterus on its own like a sperm cell? This needs to be further explored and explained in a sequel!
Terrifying Lolol but I agree! There is so much lore undiscovered and there are so many questions that need answers🤔
Cant really hear with the music playing while yall are talking
You ain’t wrong! We’ll do a better job next time lolol
Great video! Thanks for the shoutout Gorgeous!!!
Of course!!! The earrings are amazing!!
Horror movie trilogy! Rating.. X ⭐⭐⭐1/2 out of 5, Pearl ⭐⭐⭐⭐ MaXXXine ⭐⭐⭐ MaXXXine is inspired by Brian DePalma's superiorly exploitative Body Double. And it was very "movie, movie." self aware/meta. These movie are all well made horror movies, they just aren't that scary. I think Pearl would have been extremely fun if Pearl had little cartoon Pixar emotions in her head trying to control her. Inside Out Pearl.
We need an Inside Out Kamala as she runs to be the first woman president! Let's GO! 😇
An Inside Out Pearl would’ve been amazing!!! Never seen Body Double so it would be interesting to check it out! Definitely not your traditional horror movie but still a fun time!
@@hayleyandkayli4713 😂
Jupe's first encounter with the flying saucer he said he was trying to wrangle a horse. He wasn't riding it. He was trying to get it to cooperate. Or take charge of it. He said it ran off into the gultch like it was going home. Home being, most likely, the Haywood Ranch just the other end of the gultch. He was never riding it.
I find that whenever anyone has any complaints about this movie, they haven't actually watched it. As in, they didn't pay attention. Peele's films are the sort that you have to pay attention to what is being said and done on screen. You can pick up much more detail upon further viewings. I tried to respond to a very negative video and spaced out the thoughts I had on their negative views over a couple weeks because it was difficult to not just blast them with vitriol, and laid out pretty much everything they asked and complained about. My computer decided to erase two weeks worth of data from that very document, and all the work I did explaining everything I was listening to with the first 15 minutes of the 30 minutes video was gone. I took my sweet time explaining everything. And I wasn't even half done. I have a strong passion for this movie as it has become my all-time favorite movie. I've watched it over 20 times, so I suppose I do have more knowledge than anyone who's seen it once. Upon each new viewing, I notice more and more. So, you might never get all the details upon a second or third viewing. This movie has so much detail that it's difficult to catch everything the first run. And whoever doesn't like a movie, they usually don't give it another chance just in case they weren't paying attention or were tired during their watch. Any number of variety of things can make one lose interest, and it doesn't mean that they are stupid or that the movie sucks. It's just how our minds and bodies work. I'd recommend many watches. It's a really fun movie.
Twenty three minutes in. Yeah, you definitely weren't pay attention to the movie. Jupe's been there for tow years, OJ tells Em. She asks when it stopped being Gold Rush. So, please, it would be benifitial to rewatch the movie. I understand that you probably can't watch it again right away. But so many of your questions can be answered within the dialogue of the movie. Many TH-camrs decide it's a bad movie because they aren't paying attention. It's a shame because it's all there. Advice for a rewatch: Subtitles. You gain so much more information that you can miss if you misunderstand what the characters are saying.
26:00 Wow. Just wow. I think you've got some projected thoughts about the movie that aren't there. I have a problem that I can get a bit bitter when people just don't know what they are talking about, especially since we watched the exact same movie. But my temper gets the better of me sometimes. Again, rewatch the movie...with a lot less attitude. The flying saucer was consistant with what it was doing. It ate the horses because it was hungry. It ate the people with the nickel that killed OJs dad because it was hungry. It tried eating the metal decoy horse because it thought it was a real horse, hence why the string of flags never fell out of it until the next night. The decoy got stuck and when those folks from the audience were sucked up, their blood acted as a lubricant and it was able to spit the decoy out afterwards. Pay more attention, please.
So, a flying saucer that turns out to be the alien eating people and the idea of Jupe's past coming back to haunt him because he wasn't smart enough to understand what he witnessed isn't original? You didn't get anything from the Star Lasso Experience scene? You didn't anything from the Gordy scene? I guess that maybe you just was a pretentious storyline that makes no sense, like Us...? Get Out was very good. But Us was utterly awful with it's trying to be a slasher movie with a message that made no sense whatsoever.
When OJ signals to Em with his fingers and they point at each other, that's a call back from the beginning when her dad didn't include her, but OJ saw her up in the window and acknowledged her. That's why she looks so emotionally drained. Great acting.
A horror movie! Seems you smart youtuber critics have a go to genre. too much horror in the world for me, so I don't watch a lot of horror movies. 😇 Try some J-pop, and music reactions also. Amaarae: Fountain Baby, Atarashii Gakko! AG Calling. (or not. just commenting. you two are too good not to have some comments or even trolls down here.😁) Happy 4th of July!
The next few videos will be horror-related but we are gonna try to branch out lol! Thank you for sticking around and giving suggestions! We'll see what we can do with the music reactions! We appreciate you earlybird! 🫶🏼
@@hayleyandkayli4713 Omg! Atarashii Gakko! are iconic! They are conquering the world right now, Europe, Asia, and USA/Canada! 😁 I have a friend who is a film major, she and her film making partner just made a short horror film. It isn't bad. Horror isn't my favorite.. last week over two days I watch Ti West's horror trilogy starring Mia Goth. X 2022, Pearl 2022, and MaXXXine. I didn't not love them, but they were quite well made. Mia Goth is really good in all three, last horror movie I saw before those I think was Barbarian which was quite good. I only watch H and K videos if I have seen the movie. Best movie I have seen this year was Pixar's Inside Out 2. It is such a sweet movie.

can you react to Yoasobi Idol live? Have you heard that song?
We haven't heard of that!
@@hayleyandkayli4713 it was only three weeks ago I discovered them! They were #1 in the world all last year. J-pop genius.
@@hayleyandkayli4713 Idol live by Yoasobi was the biggest song in the world last year. It is a banger. We are so sheltered for other countries stuff because the U.S. makes so much good art, films, TV, ane music ourselves. The Oscars are quite more international, and diverse lately though. A good thing. Yoasobi, the singer Ikura is so cute and wholesome, wonderful voice and talent, and Ayase the producer, keyboardist is a pop music genius.
@@hayleyandkayli4713 watch: ATARASHII GAKKO! - OTONABLUE / THE FIRST TAKE, and Yoasobi Idol live for something totally outside our beloved American pop music, which is great. J-pop is wildly good!

Beyounce' with the #1 country song?! let's go! haha! as far as Poor Things. I had to cover my eyes watching that! It is also a wild movie.
wonderful Oscar video ranking.. better than Oppenheimer! (I hated that on second view.) oh well. You all deserve a bigger audience for these podcasts 1.funny. 2. honest. 3.some smart comments. (don't kid yourself.) my comments got glitched somehow. Barbie was the best movie to get nominated because it was smart, and very funny. Go Lilly Gladstone, go Da'Vine Joy Randolph! I am rooting for them to win.
Thank you for sticking around!! Always love seeing you in the comments. Little disappointed that Oppenheimer won, but not surprised lol
@@hayleyandkayli4713 exactly, we agree! Oppenheimer on second view is soooo boring. Hi
great convo, i enjoyed the movie, but i also enjoyed the push back and this discussion!!
Thank you so much! ☺️
Well definitely don't want to watch this movie now lol
Maybe read the book instead 👀 Lolol
Great review! Lilly Gladstone *deserves* to win an Oscar for Best Actor. Ernest did know he was poisoning her! He took the poison to find out. Ernest being stupid is the point of his evil. The whole community of white people were racist to the fkn core so that all of them *thought* it was their right to murder and steal the Osage's land. Any similarly between white people in the South in American history? Yes! I feel Killers is a better movie than Oppenheimer, as Oppenheimer (on second view) is boring asf. Best Picture of 2023 should be Barbie.
Oppenheimer was a snooze fest! But this movie was so hard to watch! It was just so aggravating to watch the white people literally getting away with murder for so long. We think that if the movie was more in Molly's perspective it would've been a better watch. It would have been nice to see what she saw in Ernest cause babyyyyyy all we saw were the flaws! lolol
@hayleyandkayli4713 omg you are so right! Why Molly really fell in love is not shown to us. She is the moral center of the story because we witness the evil shit being done to her, we empathize with her suffering. The film is ambigously open to interpretation of why Molly is so passive in response to her husband's crimes against her, and her people. Doesn't she realize? And with Leo's character Ernest, he loves his wife, but is able to cause her suffering also?! Scorsese either made Molly in his imagination a woman Catholic saint, or because her POV is not taken much, we can project our own feelings of what she is thinking. Much of Lilly Gladstone's performance is in her eyes, what she is seeing we see also, but we also know things she does not. We want to warn her, but are only able to watch the story unfold, and it is heart breaking.
That's a great point! That is the magic of movie making, we want to yell at Molly to stop taking the damn insulin but we're only able to watch her slowly die. I'm glad she lived the rest of her life without that man lol he was so awful!! Lily Gladstone did such a great job though! But with Ernest, ain't no way he can love her and continue to harm her!! Ugh that man irked me the entire time 😒

So just recommend responsibly.. This is def over 21 and somebody who is either on the LGBTQXYZ spectrum or loves movies or is very open minded.. A Verna theory: She acts as the ferryman Charon from Greek mythology that takes you over the river Styx to pass into the underworld.
Ooooo what an interesting take! So not Death itself, but a close associate! Does the mythology behind Charon say anything about deal making?
Thanks for the review! I liked this show a decent amount.
Thanks for watching! Have you watched any of his other shows?
@@hayleyandkayli4713 yeah I’ve seen his other Netflix shows. I agree Hill House is on top, then midnight mass then usher then bly then midnight club.
Did you finish Midnight Club?? Everyone on the internet ranks it at the bottom of their list too. Is it just not as good as the rest of his work?
@@hayleyandkayli4713 I did finish The Midnight Club. It has it's poignant moments but it just doesn't hit the way some of his other stuff does. I think it was meant to be two seasons but didn't get a second one and that leaves it feeling a little unsatisfying. He posted about the behind the scenes trouble the production experienced.
Ugh! That’s super disappointing! It looked like it had an interesting premise and we might check it out at some point. Thanks for letting us know your thoughts!
"Live" octopus is a cuisine in Korea, but usually they're chopped up into pieces, mixed with other vegetables. They aren't really alive, but still squirming. The Oldboy scene is just an extreme version of it. The octopus in The Handmaiden is probably a reference to that genre in Japanese hentai, which was more of a "meme" in the past.
Ohhh! Good to know! Thanks for watching and for the info!
